I take care of my mom and just found out she has an eviction, what should I do?
2023.06.06 19:10 Ok-Ordinary6395 I take care of my mom and just found out she has an eviction, what should I do?
I have recently started taking care of my mom, she’s 60 and has some medical issues. My last apartment the owner didn’t mind her staying with me without any background check or her even being on the lease. Due to certain circumstances, we had to move states and me and my partner have been looking for apartments and constantly getting denied. We thought it was cause of an old eviction he had 5 years ago but that was paid off, but today I found out it wasn’t his. It was one my mom had and never said anything. She has a 4000 eviction and I have no clue what to do. We’re in need of a place asap but we can find anything with her cause if it. I need a place before the end of the summer.

2023.06.06 19:08 MySoulGlows AITA: Facebook Post Triggered Relative
My cousin has an established tax prep and filing business and doesn't do bookkeeping. I just started a virtual bookkeeping business and don't offer tax services, primarily because I didn't want to encroach on their "territory". I'd been trying to call this cousin to tell them about my business and propose that we refer clients to each other for bookkeeping or tax services, but they never called me back. This cousin has a history of only contacting me when they need to use my skills to their own benefit. But, I still contacted them because our family is tiny and I wanted to see if they were open to the idea.
Well, as usual, they ignored me because I wasn't a priority to them. I wasn't pissed off, just a little disappointed. I made a post on Facebook and said I wanted to work with a tax preparer and had somebody in mind and reached out, but I wasn't a priority for them to call back. And I said, jokingly, that when my business took off they shouldn't have anything to say, because I tried. I did not say their name or the name of their company or give any kind of identifying information. I didn't even say they were related to me.
They saw the post and, without asking, assumed I was talking about them and began rage-posting replies. Since I was talking about them, I replied to their comments calmly and rationally. I asked them why were they angry at me for coming to the realization of where I fit into their life.
I'm pretty sure I unwittingly triggered something. But, I don't even feel bad. What I do feel is relief that by the end of their rage-posting I knew exactly how they've always felt about me. They love me, but they resent me at the same time. I know this because every time we have a falling out they bring up the past and play the victim/martyr. We had bad childhoods, but mine didn't involve a drug-addicted mother. And after my mom died when I was 13 and they 11, and my father and his family came and got me, our lives diverged a lot.
They think I had it good and they resent me for that, and for being able to do what they weren't able to do because they had a child at 16 and had to take on even more adult responsibilities... while I was living the typical middle class American teenager's life and then went in the military, followed by college and grad school.
AITA for making the Facebook post, even though I didn't give any clues as to who I was talking about, and if they hadn't recognized their own behavior the post would have just floated down the timeline and disappeared?

2023.06.06 19:06 Retarded_Me_ The naked Emperor: Kaiser
Ok, this post is about our beloved German Michael Kaiser. And how he'll fall and become new self.
KAISER'S BACKGROUND
We don't know many things abt him before NEL, but what we know is already something that gives us clues. First thing first, many believe that he comes from a poor past bc of the ball in a panel, well I think that's not true. I believe that Kaiser was just a weak striker at a young age, he lives in Germany, a country which has a lot of prodigies in football, so rather the ball meaning that he was poor I think it means he worked a lot for becoming who he is rn, he probably worked his ass off to be better than older strikers and to make the Kaiser Impact ™. And I think that the ball can also be a metaphor for the environment of the players, Isagi has a new ball meaning that Japan isn't so harsh as an environment for players while Germany is hell for young players. But now let's talk about Kaiser and how I'll think he'll fall.
THE ONE WHO SHOWS THE IMPOSSIBLE
Well, as he himself stated for Kaiser nothing is imposible, and to be honest he really shows that (The goals against Ubers and Manshine) but is really everything possible to him? Well here comes the thing that will change that, Yoichi Isagi. Isagi is a being that evolves by winning and losing he adapts and shows the world the imposible he evolves every second everything he does in a day brings him closer to being the best ( he learned good from Noa). Kasier doesn't understand why Isagi keeps on fighting against him the imposible that not even Kaiser can overcome is Isagi a beast that will keep fighting till death. From what we know Kaiser only beat players weaker than himself and while Isagi is clearly weaker than Kaiser he doesn't stop fighting bc he can adapt to everyone and everything (Isagi was rated 76 ovr at the start of the NEL now after 3 weeks is rated 88 ovr). Isagi became from the weakest in Blue Lock (team Z Rank 299) one of the key players in BM that shows how powerful he is. And well maybe Isagi is not ready yet but...
ISAGI BEATS THE EMPEROR
He'll most likely not become the goal scorer this match but, BM has 2 weeks of free time before the match against P.X.G, just imagine how much he'll grow, if he's rated 88 now he'll most likely be rated 93 or 94 in the Pxg match, that's the last thing he needs to beat Kaiser. He'll crush Kaiser's ego and win the match, but Kaiser is the best U-20 striker, he'll bloom.
KAISER'S BLOOMING
He'll lose but that doesn't stop him, he'll feel the same as the players he crushed and realize the feeling of losing to a stronger enemy, he'll not die, he'll bloom into a true emperor that understands losing and winning and that's the level we'll see Kaiser in the U-20 WC. Isagi won, but will he win against the new ego of the EMPEROR?
Thank you for reading my post. Btw I'm a Kaiser and Isagi Stan so sorry if I'm biased XD, and hopefully they'll have a better relationship. Byeee

Hi. I played through ME3 way back. Beat that. Found Legendary Edition in Game Pass, so finally giving the trilogy a go from start to finish. Problem is, I have no clue what's good or what to do with the squad mates in really any of the games and I'm worried about messing up. Anything anyone could tell me for help in that regard or just general tips/advice as I'm going through the games? I would greatly appreciate it.

2023.06.06 19:02 Maxilkarr Oh man that ending! (Ya spoilers inside)
So this is just a jumble of thoughts I’ve had since finishing the game last night but I don’t have any friends that play these games to gush with so I’m just gonna put it here.
I was astounded by this game. After the first sky island and getting to hyrule I was very disappointed with this game, it didn’t feel like the enemies were scaled at all to my strength and abilities, I debated about putting it down I was having so many issues. But I kept pushing and found my groove. And the missions were a perfect combo of open ended but also playing into each other, and while they weren’t always required I loved how one story line recommended doing another one to naturally find the clues to solve the original mission.
And the characters seemed so much more alive and personable, and having the sages follow you around at all times as a little troupe of fighters was a good feeling and felt very natural in gameplay. And having a real Ganondorf as the villain in a Zelda game was great, and what a great villain he was. Very scary and threatening and you can feel that he was a true threat, never knowing if he would be able to come back from whatever until the very end.
And that ending! Following the story of Zelda and the light dragon and then the last fight, such an amazing example of a game being able to touch you emotionally. The final mission complete of Find Zelda, or whatever made me let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding.
My only critical points to this game were the Zonai machines, which were amazing fun but for someone like me were frustrating at times wondering why this machine I made didn’t work. The weapon durability seemed more annoying than BotW. The fuse mechanic was cool but needing to have two weapons to make one reasonable weapon seemed too much. And my final point is replayability, there’s so much in this game it’s amazing but the idea of going through that all again without the same exploration of the world seems like a little too much.
Overall this game is amazing with only a few critiques. Love it.

2023.06.06 19:00 Sirexiv I hate my urticaria
I need to vent for a moment.
I have urticaria, but I don't know exactly my type of u. I feel itchiness in my head, neck and chest when I do exercise, get too excited, get nervous... In general, when I "activate" my body or get tense in any way. It happens a lot more in hot temperatures.
I don't know what triggers it. I've had allergy tests, and my doctor said that whatever allergy I have, it is not detectable by their methods. It is outside of their range, so trying to know what it is is virtually imposible. Like looking for a needle in a haistack.
I've had this for almost a year, and it pretty much prevents me from doing any physical thing. I went to a dermatologist, and he told me "looking for what triggers your urticaria will drive us all crazy, so I will prescribe you ebastina [Spanish medication], an antihistaminic. Whenever you know you'll do any physical activity, make sure to take one (or two, if it doesn't work) pills half an hour before it starts". Now: that's bullshit.
I can't predict every time I will have to start moving. It's not that simple. You can need to run or do any type of exercise at literally any moment: if you are late to the bus stop, if it starts raining, etc. etc.
In my experience, that has been incredibly useless. I can't predict those situations almost 65 % of the time. But it doesn't matter, because the medication doesn't work. I take one, nothing happens. I take two, I still feel the madening itchiness of my urticaria.
I had a second apointment with my doctor. I was hoping to get an actual treatment, but she convinced my to not do that and, instead, just change my effing useless antihistaminics. And I did, and now I take bilastina, and I'm in the exact same shit position because they don't work either!!
I'm angry. I will have a third appointment to see if I can finally access to something more stable than "just a pill half an hour before". I'm desperate because this thing has impacted a lot in my way of living. Shit, I'm literally scared of stairs and every time I exit home to get groceries I start to get paranoid over the thought of itchiness.

2023.06.06 18:57 TelephoneNumerous317 Hurt my best friend
I hurt my best friend. He's more than my best friend. Hes my brother. He's family. I failed to stand up for him when I should have. I did apologise profusely. But apparently I failed to act and that has portrayed him in bad light. I have no clue what to do now. I am a conflict avoider and I guess that's where the issue started from! What can I do to avoid such circumstances in future and make him feel loved and accepted?

2023.06.06 18:49 Sea-Cow-2996 I don’t know where to post this but I need advice about the test I just took
| So, I’m probably in the wrong spot, but I have no clue where to post this question and nobody to ask. Can’t exactly take it to a pharmacy, for obvious reasons. The brand is QuickVue and the directions say that if it’s positive, the pink line will show “close to the blue line”. The pink line is set closer to where the sponge tip is located. Is it possible that this is just dye? Thank you so much to anyone who reads/replies. And again- if I’m in the wrong sub, can someone please point me in the right direction? submitted by Sea-Cow-2996 to CoronavirusUS [link] [comments] |
