Deep Dives

Each depth activates a new modifier for the remainder of the activity and increases all combatant Power levels over player Power levels. Asha's Gifts: Choose one of two random gifts from Asha at each depth to enhance yourself for the remainder of the activity before taking on the Darkness. Wrathful Predator: Final blows on these unique combatants will reward your fireteam additional time on the objective timer. Rewards: Victory at each depth increases the rewards and challenges of the next. Opt in with your entire fireteam to trigger Pressure Trial versions of activities for even greater rewards!
• Join In Progress Disabled: Your fireteam cannot be joined while in an activity. Return to orbit to add fireteam members.

Basically what the title says. For example, imagine I, a 10th level Druid attuned to a 5th Level Spell Gem, awakened Pointy, my pet scorpion. I then cast the Giant Insect Spell inside the Spell Gem, end my Attunement to it, and give it to Pointy to attune. Later, during a difficult encounter, Pointy decides to help and casts Giant Insect on himself.
What would happen in this case?
Would Pointy's INT return to 1, or stay as 10? Would he lose his known language? I assume the answer to both would be no, as he simply became a giant version of himself, and the 10 INT isn't inherently part of his statblock, but an effect of the Awaken spell.
If his INT score did return to 1, would he have a chance of becoming hostile towards me, after the 30-day charmed effect from Awaken was over?
If he still had 10 INT and his language, would he need to give spoken commands to himself to act, or would he be able to move freely?
If his INT score returned to 1 and lost his language, would he be able to do anything at all after transforming, if there's no one to command him?
Finally, considering this situation turned out the most favorably (Pointy is still my friend and trying to protect me, can control his own movements, has 10 INT and can speak), what would be the best ways to protect both him and his concentration?

Hey everyone.
It's been a LONG time since I've picked up anything Battletech or MechWarrior besides the games. But with the recent showing of LGBTQ+ support that was shown through the creation of this sub, it perked my interest again.
I used to do text-based role playing in a group called Battletech Mercenaries, and it was actually my introduction to play by post role playing on a forum. I LOVED it. I was bad at it (everyone is bad at writing at first), but my group was patient and kind, and helped me find a passion for the hobby.
My commander used Megamek to help simulate the battles that I was a part of, so we would have some "randomness" to keep us all from just going "hurr I'm the best I headshot everything!" And that's the first time I heard that there was a tabletop version of the universe!
I loved helping him load out the enemy and play out the scenarios. It was cool to actually pilot big ass mechs and I credit these games with my love of third person tactical games now like XCom.
So I was wondering if there were any groups on here that met to play every so often online? Id love to meet some silly geeks that want to have fun and meme with gigantic mechs over roll 20, tabletop sim, or Megamek again. I'm trying to expand my friend group in this lonely later part of my youth (I'm 33).

The plan is simple: ramp to land destruction and eventually to the big boy himself. Velomachus. Does. Work. If you’re looking at a land destruction spell with his ability, pick it. Never be afraid to board wipe with Velomachus on the table. I’ve cast him 5, 6 times in a game.
On any turn, if you’re wondering “should I pick land destruction or something else?” Pick land destruction. They will scoop.
Target one color with your land destruction spells. I usually go for green (to prevent ramp) or whichever color they search for.
The only, ONLY, reason to wait to destroy lands is to copy your land destruction spell NEXT turn.

Started this hobby in December and even managed to get a massive army from a coworker for some mtg decks. I've played about 6 games now and get my butt handed to me hard almost every time. I know part of the issue is I don't have stratagems memorized so I sometimes end games with unspent cp. But I know thats not fully the fault considering the points my opponents manage to get with the objectives they pick.
So my army is Szarekhan Necrons. The total models I have are:
1 monolith 1 doom scythe 1 night scythe 1 canoptek doomstalker 1 annihilation barge 1 catacomb command barge 1 chronomancer 1 triarch stalker 1 ghost arch 1 royal warden 2 overlords 5 deathmarks 10 flayed ones 3 skorpekh destroyers 1 canoptek plasmacyte 6 canoptek scarab swarms 5 canoptek wraiths 3 tomb blades 5 lokhust destroyers 1 lokhust heavy destroyer 15 immortals 30 warriors
I've been favoring using the catacomb command barge as the commander, along side a lot of warriors and immortals. Everything else I've rotated using to little success, though the lokhust destroyers felt effective. My playgroup usually does 1000 point armies.
So I guess my questions would be
1 - What units would you consider must use and never use out of my collection?
2 - What side objectives are usually good general purpose for me? (I know some would be match up dependent)
3 - What stratagems should I always keep in the back of my head? I know some are unit specific so I would just need to know the units in bringing.
4 - any general necron wisdom? Like what units to focus, what units to protect, strategic reserves, and stuff like that.
5 - any recommended buys to supplement my army?
