TL:DR I have followed guides like this one and this one to mount a Samba share to an Ubuntu VM, and I can see everything in the folders in the share, but even with sudo I can't create a new directory inside that Samba share.
My Setup
I am running Proxmox on a Dell R730xd server, with an SSD boot drive and two separate ZFS pools (one with 4 3.5 inch hard drives in it, and the other with 8 3.5 inch hard drives.) I have an LXC with Cockpit and I have made 3 SMB shares called media, audio, and books. These 3 folders were mounted to the LXC following the guide in this video using zfs create from the terminal in Proxmox and then pct set [containerid] --mp[#]. I made a user with (uid=1000,gid=1002) in Cockpit and put it in two groups, one with access to the ZFS pool with 4 drives, and the other with access to the ZFS pool with 8 drives. This user has a username and password as well as a Samba password. From a Windows 10 laptop, I can open File Explorer and go to //IP.of.my.Cockpit and it will ask me for a username and password, and when I put in the login for the user I made in Cockpit, I can access all the Samba shares, and I can even create a new test.txt file and then delete it. I also have another LXC container on this same Proxmox server, and I also used the pct set [containerid] --mp[#] approach from the terminal in Proxmox, and it can access the Samba shares apparently just fine. So Read/Write seems to be working fine for the Samba shares and for the User I created in Cockpit.
My Proxmox server also has an Ubuntu server 22.04.2 VM, and inside that VM I have Docker, Docker Compose, and Portainer set up. From this Ubuntu server VM, I followed first one guide and then another in order to mount SMB shares to the Ubuntu server, with the goal of then accessing those via Docker containers. I thought something was wrong with my Docker Compose file, so I made a Reddit post here. But then as I was testing, I realized that I can't even make a new directory inside one of those Samba shares from the terminal, not even with sudo mkdir! Sadly a VM apparently doesn't let me use the same pct set [containerid] --mp[#] approach I used in the LXC containers.

Here is my latest attempt to fix this permissions issue, based on the comment here on my Reddit post. (I have changed the actually user name to [user].)

Note that I have tried various options for the permissions, like cifs credentials=/etc/netshare-creds,file_mode=0755,dir_mode=0755 0 0 from this guide, but same permission denied problem, so I figured I'd try 777, and still getting permission denied. Also, the /etc/netshare-creds file just has username=[username from Cockpit] and password=[password for that user from Cockpit]. I've tried with and without an extra line for domain=domain, but either way I get these permission denied problems.
Question
So I need help trying to track down the cause of this permission denied issue, even with sudo. I can access the Samba shares from a Windows 10 laptop, so it looks like the problem is not with Cockpit, but rather with how I'm attaching these Samba shares to my Ubuntu server VM. I'm following what the guides show, but it doesn't work for me. And it's not just a matter of the user on my Ubuntu server not having the right permissions, because even with sudo I don't have permissions to mkdir or touch. I'm hoping you fine people can help me out.

I really want to believe this bubble will pop. I especially want to believe this for the sake of Gen Z who are the most screwed by all this housing insanity. However, I am not convinced it will pop. Here are my arguments and counterarguments on the topic.
Note: Real estate is regional and these arguments won't apply to all parts of the nation. I am talking about high demand areas such as SoCal, NJ, etc...where the market is the most inflated.
ARGUMENTS

1. We enter a recession. A large percentage of people lose their jobs and thus can't pay mortgage payments. Homes foreclose and flood the market lowering prices.

Rebuttals:
A. People are locked in to low cost mortgages and could hang on for awhile while not having a job.
B. A lot of 2 income households so a job loss on one wouldn't mean 0 income.
C. Banks are realizing that they make more money by extending loan duration instead of foreclosing. (Forebearance)

1. New construction. More houses being built means more supply to help mitigate demand.

Rebuttals:
A. New starts are down in most high demand areas.
B. Most big cities are built out so there isn't much more room to build in order to make a significant dent in demand.

1. Interest rates continue to rise and affordability continues to drop to the point prices drop too.

Rebuttals:
A. This would just keep sellers in their homes and make the supply crisis worse thus propping up prices.
B. The market of people able to move to desirable cities is the entire country. Remote work has changed the game. There will always be people making enough money to afford a home in these places. Especially enough people to create enough demand to prop up prices with such low inventory.

1. Interest rates drop creating a huge rise in sellers that have been waiting to sell their homes.

Rebuttals:
A. A seller is almost always another buyer after their home is sold.
B. This new supply will be balanced out by the better affordability of homes thus allowing alot of new buyers to get in the game that have been waiting to jump in.

Indigo League: In hindsight, it makes since that Ash would lose here since he clearly had a long way to go. But the way he lost is pretty frustrating. Team Rocket kidnapped him, made him late to his match against Ritchie, and almost got him disqualified. Half of Ash's team ends up being worn out trying to escape Team Rocket, forcing Ash to use his then disobedient Charizard as a last resort. This was a really bad way to go out. To be fair to Team Rocket, Ash should've told the referee what happened and maybe they could've postponed the match til the next day so his Pokemon could get some rest.
Johto League: I don't have much to say here. It's good Ash's loss wasn't an embarrassing one this time around and there was a proper battle. I like the battle between Charizard and Blaziken despite Charizard losing. Harrison's Blaziken was a good way to hype fans up about Gen 3
Hoenn League: I don't have much to say here either l. This was the first League Ash lost to the eventual winner, so we at least know he lost to someone really strong. The fact that Meowth from Team Rocket is cheering on Tyson's Meowth as he beats Pikachu makes me feel some type of way. Does this count as a victory for Team Rocket against Ash.
Sinnoh League: Tobias is the clearest example of a character written to beat Ash in the league. He has two Legendary Pokemon and probably more. The battle between Ash and Tobias really left a bad taste in my mouth. Tobias basically destroyed Ash knocking out all six of his Pokemon while only have two of his knocked out. This is probably the most lopsided battle Ash has had and I don't like seeing him go out like that especially with how good he was doing in Sinnoh. If it were up to me, I'd have Ash and Paul face each other in the finals. Ash beats Paul, thereby winning the Sinnoh League, he gains Paul's respect, and now gets to face Cynthia. He has a full 6 on 6 battle and loses. This would've made Ash's victory against Cynthia in the Masters 8 more awesome.
Unova League: Given how Ash was portrayed in BW. I pretty much conceded that he would lose the Unova Leage. But the way he loses pisses me off. Not only did BW give Ash a soft reboot making him an idiot again, but they also had the nerve to make him lose to an even bigger idiot who only brought five Pokemon to a full battle. This is totally unacceptable. It's no wonder many fans hate BW.
Kalos League: it really sucks Ash lost here as it really seems like he'd actually win a league this time. Ash was at the top of his game in XY. Nevertheless, Ash vs Alain was a fun battle to watch. XY battles were something else. And at least Ash and Alain were on par with each other, both getting down to their last Pokemon. Not like Ash vs Tobias. If I'm not mistaken, Ash vs Alain was the last time Ash lost a full battle. I guess fan backlash is effective.

I would like to stick with WearOS 2 until GA is made available for Gen 6 and other sync issues are fixed. if it comes with WearOS 3, I'll skip buying for now. my main objective with WearOS is GA and sync with all Google setups. I do not wish to be in the Amazon ecosystem.
on a side note: would a galaxy watch be recommended over the current market in June 2023? for context, I'm in the Indian consumer market - so pixel isn't really an option as Google doesn't directly sell the watch here, available via Amazon with symbolic warranty and has no returns. my contention behind galaxy watch is Android only compatibility holding me back from ever making the switch to iOS if and when that ever comes to be.

I made/updated some new signature moves for Gen 1 Pokémon that would hopefully give them some newfound viability. Some of these attacks are likely too broken but that is kinda the point because most of the older Pokémon need a big power boost to contend with meta Pokémon today. Please feel free the share new ideas and feedback!
Signature Move for Sandslash: Sift Slash – Ground/Physical/70 POW/100 ACC/15 PP/The user slashes the target with their sharp claws. This attack summons a sandstorm. If used in a sandstorm, this attack raises the user’s Attack stat.
I wanted to give Sandslash a STAB move that wasn't directly superior to Earthquake so I came up with this move that makes Sandslash a more efficient Sand teammate. Sandslash gets the ability Sand Rush which effectively would allow Sandslash to double it's Speed and raise it's Sp. Def x1.5. Then using this move again allows Sandslash to start boosting it's Attack. You could even set up sand with another Pokémon and then switch in Sandslash just to boost its Attack.
Signature Move for Nidoking: Royal Envy – Poison/Physical/120 POW/100 ACC/10 PP/The user rampages and attacks for two to three turns. The user then becomes confused. This attack has a chance to poison the target.
What if Nidoking got Thrash, but like a lot more damage? Boom. It's done. 120 * 1.5 (STAB) * 1.3 (Sheer Force) = 234 base power. Your opponent better hope they brought a Steel type.
Signature Move for Nidoqueen: Royal Majesty – Poison/Status/The user restores its own and allies HP by up to half their max HP. This also clears both the user’s and ally Pokémon's status conditions. If a status condition is cleared with this move, that Pokémon's Defense or Special Defense is raised-whichever is lower.
This attack is intended to support Nidoking using Royal Envy. In a double battle, Nidoqueen can heal Nidoking and clear it's confusion which in turn boosts its defenses. Even in a single battle this attack heals, removes status conditions and potentially boosts Nidoqueen's defenses.

Been looking around to various sites for parts on my 4th Gen Mazda 3 and I keep seeing ID codes like BP5P, BP8P, and BPEP. From what I can tell there might be differences in the engines but I would really appreciate some confirmation.
