For example, I'm not from US or Europe, I'm new to the ace community and its gags and I have no idea what the ace community in my country use for pride, self humor and identifing each other subtly, except for the actual flag colors. I recently just purchased a Honda rebel 2019 with 50 miles on it as my first bike but it seem like the headlight is heating up really fast. I had only left the bike on for about 10 minutes and the headlight seem to be overheating. The bike has received upgrades on it’s OEM headlight but I’m not sure if the light bulb is the problem or it’s something else.
Does anyone have any idea what’s wrong with it? At this moment I’m tempted to just buy another lightbulb with lower watts and see if its better.
Any tips or advice?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

I'm a recent BEd graduate, P/J, certified, but not yet employed. Moving is not an option for me right now. I have seen a lot of people on this subreddit that i think do not understand shrooms. Im not saying that out of experience but its somethings that's to be respected, a very powerful thing your using so don't go into it without understanding what can happen. I have tried p.e before but this time i bought i bought some golden teachers, started with a tea and one g and slowly at 7 gs over the course of 5 hours. it caught up with me and it was my first time so i was nervous but i just listened to music and had fun laying in bed letting my mind water, i had sex with god she was cool and turned into a beautiful mountain Valley but generally my trip was happy fun times. i will not be doing it for a while it was a treat but its something once in a blue moon. Hey i wanted to encourage some discussion on opinions on various boxing equipment and drills. I have some spicy takes.
Light Sparring 9/10: -1 point because you need a partner for this, and that's a luxury for some. However, I light spar with people way below my level all the time and I find it extremely helpful for my cardio and movement and control. Sometimes you just don't have the luxury of a partner who you can trust to not knock your head off, though.
Shadow boxing: 9/10 Simulates how you would realistically move while sparring. No equipment needed.
Double End bag: 10/10 Trains you to hit a moving target, it's like shadow boxing plus training your eyes.
Heavy Bag: 7/10 I think it's overrated. It's very fun, and I think that's also a downside. Since it's so fun to wail on, there's a natural tendency to start wailing on it, thus building bad habits. It's also easy to injure yourself on it. Very useful for hooks, some combos, but when I throw my cross, I go slow and focus on perfect technique, elbow in, and slow. Not great for uppercuts.
Another reason I think it's overrated: It's allegedly good for building power in your punches. Ok, but if 99% of my fighting is going to be sparring where I'm not trying to kill my partner, then maybe power isn't the most important thing in the world?
Maybe if Paulie Malignaggi had a successful PRO career with literally 0 KO power, then myself as someone who doesn't even intend to compete at the state level golden gloves let alone go pro has more important things to train?
Speed Bag: 1/10 I literally never use this. You're standing in a way you would never stand in boxing, looking up, chin exposed, and rotating your forearms from your elbows, a motion you would never do in boxing. It trains your shoulder stamina. So does literally everything else even jump rope.
Uppercut Bag 2/10 I like that it's against a wall so doesn't take up much space, it's fun to throw in the mix sometimes but I don't find that it adds much value compared to just practicing your uppercut while shadow boxing. Unless your goal is to knock out your sparring partner with an uppercut. For every 300 rounds I spend on the heavy and double end bag, I spend 1 round on the uppercut bag.
Jump Rope: 9/10 very convenient, trains your rhythm, coordination, stamina, one
Lifting Weights / Strength Training 6-10 rep range: 1/10 I do a lot of strength training, and I think it's worthless for boxing. If you're doing this half-assed, you're wasting your time. If you're doing this right, you're putting a lot of stress on your body to recover. If the only tools I had in my belt were a jump rope and barbell lifts, I would ignore the barbell.
Some argument could be made for more functional movements like with kettlebells perhaps, but shit like bench press, squat, deadlift? Movements and positions that hold no relevance to boxing. (Squat- when are you ever in such a balanced, squared position pushing from both feet evenly?) Also, why work so hard to get into a higher weight class?
What are your opinions? Am I just retarded?

Hello all,
I'm currently working on a Gameboy style game using the Pixel Game Maker engine. So far this has been a great engine to use for creating retro style games. The current game I'm previewing is called Ryuuoujyou Monogatari ( 龍女物語GB ) which is the second game apart from the Famicom version I'm creating. This is the PC port as I'm working on the Gameboy version using GB Studio.
The story revolves around a former Dragon Princess; Fusaha, whom had escaped her tyrant father of the Sky Dragon kingdom. Her mother murdered by her father and older brother due to her sympathizing with the human realm. After she took her brother's life with the sacred Bone Sword she cursed herself to the body of a deceased female soldier to defend the humans of the human realm and swiftly defeats her father in revenge. In this story, Fusaha is turned against by the human realm by a man named Javille Schulst (A human coward whom sides with the Sky Dragons) and goes to clear her name and faces off with five of his deadliest Sky Dragon fanatics.

Hello all, I was not entirely sure about where to put this since I'm not necessarily asking for advice but I'm more just putting my story out there. (For context of this, I am 15 and biologically female.) Over the past year and a half I have been questioning almost everything including most importantly my gender and sexuality. About 8 months ago I had finally concluded that I was a lesbian after much resistance from myself. Despite this, 2 months afterwards I started to question my gender as well. This was largely down to the fact that I just felt that being a lesbian (although I am attracted to women) didn't fit. So I did lots of research on the topic and realised that a lot of anguish, embarrassment and outright explosive anger that I had felt for no apparent reason could have been related to gender dysphoria. As it turns out feeling like you want to spontaneously combust everytime someone mentions the fact that you'll have to wear a bra one day or that you will never get to shave your beard is NOT a daily occurrence for most cisgender women. In addition, before becoming enlightened on these topics I thought that all of these things were normal and that every teenage girl has this and it has only been the past couple of months that have made me realise that perhaps it is not the case and that I was quite frankly lied to.
When I first thought about the possibility that I could be transgender I was almost completely opposed to the idea and subsequently tried to do all sorts of things to "stop" it from happening. Some of these things included: distancing myself from transgender creators, trying to convert to religions that claim to "fix" trans people and seeking conversion therapy. I tried all of these things with a passion and I have definitively concluded that no amount of attempting to "correct" yourself will ever make the simple fact that your are trans go away.
Discovering that I am trans has truly put some things into perspective for example how I have pretty much no one to confide in about anything in my life and the reality that I will probably have to distance myself from my family just to not have my entire life ruined. These are things that I had thought about previously especially the cutting off contact because my mum and her mother are very emotionally abusive and are raging alcoholics. This happened to be particularly bad when I was younger since my mum (even though she denies it) was pretty much drunk 24/7 and would get yell at me for doing the smallest of things like being too loud and eating the wrong things (bear in mind I was only like 6 years old and didn't understand what I was doing wrong and sometimes i still don't get it). It has fortunately become better since then and now she is only drunk a couple of times a week but she still is violent towards my dad.
My dad is not any better though because while he isn't an alcoholic he is still very emotionally distant and says some pretty bad stuff (like transphobic and sexist things) but not necessarily in an angry way just in a he thinks that is what is right to say kind of way. In saying that he is a lot easier to cope with than my mum since if you take the time to explain why these things are wrong to him he will eventually listen. The main reason I think he says those things is because he is insecure about his own masculinity and wants to really fit in with other cisgender men and for that reason I kind of understand it in a way.
Back to the trans issues, I just feel so terrible because I seemingly can't do literally anything but wait until I can move out. I can't even talk to a therapist or my gp because my mum would want to come with me. It's a hell on earth consisting of feeling trapped from the outside and feeling even more trapped on the inside. I don't even have friends since I'm homeschooled and don't participate in any clubs.
In conclusion, the simplest word that I can come up with to describe how I'm feeling is just lost.

Honestly, life has been pretty lonely lately. As we are getting older making those connections just becomes harder, opportunities rarer, it seems. But that doesn't mean the longing gets any less. The craving for that person to come home to, to talk to, to spend time with. To talk life, dreams and sadness with. The one that smiles at my little texts, laughs with me at stupid memes, the one that makes you feel seen, heard and appreciated. Is that impossible? Feels like I am hunting a unicorn. I am hoping for someone that sticks around and can spend some time with. Once some comfort is established I'd enjoy doing voice calls, we could watch movies or similar together or just talk about our days. Play some games with, I loved to do that. The things achievable over a distance, but obviously open to suggestions. After that? Little walks on a beach? Cuddling up on the couch? We'll see when we get there.
As the title already states I am 33 years old guy from Germany. Physically, I'm really tall and guaranteed to reach the highest shelves for you (feel free to ask!), a bit on the bigger side but I work out multiple times a week and go running frequently. Long hair and a beard, no tattoos though. Basically a dad-bod without the dad. I'm an open and honest guy, monogamous, loyal, sometimes overthinking, very affectionate, caring and playful once I click with someone. Sometimes to my detriment, actually. I read a lot in my free time, both fiction and nonfiction. For movies I'm partial to Thriller, Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy but open in my tastes. I also watch quite a few documentaries and true crime stories. I really enjoy learning new things. I used to be into games but without someone to share this with I don't do it a lot now. I'm a hobbyist cook and like experimenting in the kitchen. You can just get pancakes though ;) Big time into music, can you guess what I listen to?

Most important thing, be from a somewhat similar timezone. Working around a big difference is hard, and should it work out being closer is generally favorable.
Honestly I don't want to put too many requirements in the way. I'm not that fussed about appearances. Who you are as a person, your character, your kindness are whats important to me. The vibe I get so to say. Being on the nerdy side is a plus. I don't mind some extra plush, just makes for better cuddles. I also don't mind someone on the clingy side. Child-free, please.

Not sure how this will go but here goes I guess.
Pretty much what's in the title. I work in an automotive factory and there was an accident over a year ago where my belt got caught in part of the machinery and pulled my torso beyond the "light curtain" which is supposed to guard against things like this, but wasnt working properly and a piston came down cutting into my stomach a bit and completely crushing my penis. I dont really remember the event much beyond the first couple seconds, there was a lot of blood and I passed out.
I woke up briefly in the hospital but was really drugged heavily and don't remember anything other than being told I was going in for surgery.
When I woke up they had removed my penis. It was almost two years ago (Nov 2021) and I'm still in complete shock and not really able to process. I cried a lot the first year but lately I'm just dead inside.
I've been taking antidepressants and going to therapy and thus far it hasnt helped. There are very few resources for men going through what I'm going through. My therapist suggested talking about it openly anonymously either by writing a letter I wouldn't send or posting about it online so I thought I'd try this.

What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

There seems to be a lot of debate as to whether Ted is actually happy and content or if he's trapped in Kansas in silent misery. And as someone mostly in the "silent misery" group, I thought I might try to shed some light on that interpretation for the confused "happy and content" group if they're curious. Some of it might come down to a difference in media consumption and preferences.
I love horror movies, and I'm a big film buff in general. I'm used to certain visual cues to indicate tone or mood. The framing of that last shot invoked ominous feelings of unease, and my initial interpretation was one of devastation because I've seen that shot multiple times. It's not a good shot (well, it's a great shot, but it's not usually great for the character in question).
That shot calls to mind Dani (Midsommar Dani, not Rojas) accepting her place among the cult.
It's Norman Bates being fully consumed by his mother.
It's a character who's lost themselves entirely to an ominous new identity. Given these visual cues, to me, it seemed like in Ted's case, that identity was fatherhood. Ted forsaking all his needs and placing his entire emotional well-being on his son.
So, I think, yeah, if you're a horror movie fan, then you're going to see that ending, especially after Ted's seeming emotional distance from his Richmond family, denying the audience that catharsis, and think, "Yikes."
If you're not used to following these visual cues as ominous, then it makes a lot of sense that you'd not interpret the ending as bad. I think both interpretations are valid.
It's an odd choice for a final shot. Given what I've said, I'm not sure there's any way Jason could have played that final moment and not kinda given a whole subset of fans a jumpscare.
Whatever side you fall on, I hope this was at least an interesting read for some!
