I am a South African development consultant with a background in economics interested in doing my master's degree.
I am currently choosing between a Master of Analysis and Policy in Economics (APE) at the Paris School of Economics and a MSc in African Studies at Oxford. My hope is to continue working in development/development economics in Africa and I don't intend to pursue a PhD (at least not in the near future). For economics, I'm interested in micro with a focus on labour (and would focus my thesis in that field for either course)
Does anyone have any experience of either of these programmes or have any advice regarding the decision?

My mental state is fucking in shambles, not because of the neet life but due to my mom these past 2 years have been unbearable, not gonna talk much about it but she keeps bickering me about getting a job for a few months so I finally got a job today in a call center after applying for countless jobs and I absolutely hate it. I despise talking to people, it does seem to pay fairly decently after 2 months but I just dont know. Im so tired I just want to alone and I need a decent job so I can move out, a remote job would be perfect any advise ?

I want to open a tiny little vivarium store. I have a passion for live plants and critters in glass boxes. I finally have built a high enough credit score for a loan, however I don't actually know where to start and researching online is all over the place and I'm getting wildly different information from every article I read.
So how do I start? I have figured out about what I'll need to do in general, but I'm not sure of the order of operations. Registering the name, getting a location, IRS tax documents, bank accounts and loans. I'm sorry if it's a stupid question.

I’ve been stuck on the hazmat review for a month now. I’ve given them all the forms and SDSs needed but i keep getting “unable to review” at the end. I’ve contacted support multiple times and they have been absolutely useless. The product it self does not have anything dangerous, no chemicals or anything, its just plastic and wood. So i do not understand what the problem is.

So I can use LeFox for 1 years longer (in the future) on my aging 10.13 iMac instead of Chrom.
I hope it stays this way, so that firefox will keep older operating systems in mind and release security updates longer.

Have just been told today after a blood test a few days ago that my B12 level is 140. My GP wants to start a course of injections 3 times a week for a few weeks as a loading dose and then reduce the frequency of them. Does anyone have any recommendations on anything I should take to reduce the chance of any side effects happening? Also is the 140 quite low for my B12 level? Sorry I’m very new here!

I currently work as a wastewater laboratory technician for a city in Texas. I am set to graduate with my masters this fall. However, I don't know what options I have with my degree. I don't have any other license besides my wastewater class c operator license. I do not wish to continue working here because it's a dead end job. There's no room for growth and pay raises are nonexistent. I don't have any specific preference as to which career to pursue. I do however have preference for one that has a good work/life balance as I have a family.
Are there specific licenses or certifications that are recommended?

Hi Everyone, I have recently passed my AMT MLS/MT examination. I was really excited until I realized CDPH makes it really hard to get the actual license. I have 2 years experience from 2019 in toxicology/hematology and chemistry so I have decided to try and get the limited license at least for now. Unfortunately, the lab director that worked at my previous place of employement does not work there anymore so my experience letter was signed by Hmy supervisor.

I am very worried that they will not accept the letter because it is not signed by the lab director. I cant get in contact with them either. Has anyone had this type of scenario that has either not worked out or worked out eventually? I dont want to move out of state as my mother is sick and I dont want to be too far away from her.

I recently upgraded my OnePlus 7t pro to android 12.
On version 11, when I received an SMS message, a notification would pop up with the start of the message and a button to copy two factor auth code to the clipboard.
In version 12 I still get the SMS notification but the button that auto crops the auth codes from the rest of the SMS text and let's me paste it into my apps without having to leave the auth window has gone.
I've checked various settings and notification options but can't seem to find an option.
Was this removed in v12 or am I missing something?
Also if it is gone, can anyone recommend an alternative SMS app that does have this function?

I have my computer hooked up to some desktop speakers via aux. About 5 seconds after any media (videos, games, music, ...) stops playing, I get static from the speakers. Changing the volume slider in the GUI doesn't change the volume of the static. The only way I've found to stop the static is to turn the dial on the speaker all the way to off. This works, but is mildly annoying.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to deal with this?

Long story short I've been at my apartment for 4 years now and will be renewing my lease in June. Landlord raises rent $100 every time I renew my lease and raised it $100 mid lease when I had a room mate move in. is this normal?
Rent started at $1100 when I moved in 2018 and I am currently paying $1600 a month and was adviced it would go up to $1750(an extra $150) when I renew in June. (It's 2 bed 1 bath and I also rent a garage bay from him separately that's connected to the apartment for an extra $450 a month(that's not included in the $1600 I pay a month), that rent only goes up $25 a year) it's a 2 apartment 1 business 1 garage bay building. I have friends who live in apartment complex's who only have rent increases every few years by $50-75 which l've been told is normal but every year is not ok or normal? Is my landlord just trying to screw me over? The apartment I had before this I lived in for 3 years and had my rent increased $50 the last year I was there and that was it.
You guys as landlords do you think there's a way to negotiate or deny the rental increase in a respectful way? I give him my rent in person a week early every month (never been late not even once). Never broke any of his rules, always been a good tenant. I feel like if he keeps increasing rent like this that he should at least update some things? The apartment has appliances from mid-late 2000's the fridge sounds like a jet engine but because it works he legally doesn't need to replace it. The caulking seems in the shower are falling apart "but it doesn't leak so it's fine"
I'm not really sure what l'm even asking here l'm just trying to get opinions from other landlords about if raising rent every year is normal, everyone in my family thinks I'm being taken advantage of.
Also to mention When I first moved in he was very strict about "must make 3 times the rent to live here" I've had the same job since and at the time I did make 3x but I don't get many raises and when I do it's only .10 at a time, I no longer make 3x the rent so does that mean I no longer qualify to live here? (3x rent when I moved in was $3300 and I made $3700/m. I now make $3980 a month and 3x rent is $4800 now) What are y'all thoughts?

Hello, I recently applied for the Niederlassungserlaubnis and received a letter stating that the card would be received within 4-6 weeks. However, I was terminated from my job just 7 days later. I have some questions regarding the impact of this on my Niederlassungserlaubnis process:

1. Will my termination affect my Niederlassungserlaubnis process?
2. Should I sign an Aufhebungsvertrag (mutual termination agreement) or ask my employer to terminate me without mutual agreement?
3. In the case of an Aufhebungsvertrag, I will be given three months' salary and will not be required to work during that time. If I am terminated without a mutual agreement, I will have to work for six months. Which option is better for me?
4. Can anyone recommend a labor lawyer or share a link to find one?

I have been wanting to write on this theme for a while. And before I express my opinion I just want to say-I get that PoE was made by Diablo fans for a particular kind of Diablo fans. And thats great. I wish GGG all the best and I have no isssue with people enjoying both franchises.
What I do have problem is PoE fans insisting to tell everybody that PoE is this perfect(or better than D3/D4) ARPG and in order to be a good game D4 must be more like PoE. Its especially prevalent every time somebody on this sub starts talking about respeccing. Every time anyone complains that respeccing is too punitive, you can bet that someone in the comments will show up and says something like "Well choices must feel significant, look at PoE where they have the prefect respecing system". I get that some people want to constanly feel the need to "make the choice, and feel its consequences" and find greaat pleasure in such kind of an approach. But such "harshness" is not for everybody. I really liked the D3 system where if I felt that one of the skills or runes is not working well, I could just stop and change it on the fly(except for legendary dungeons of course). It was fun and I want D4 to be fun. What was not fun is me leveling up a second sorcerer through the same quests, having to go into the goddamed enchantment dungeon for a second time just because I wanted to check out fire spec without buring all my gold and my first sorcerer was electro. Again, I understand that right now probablly many are thinking "What a casual, I grinded for 10000+ hours in PoE to try out every spec of every class and it was great." I am glad for you. But PoE already exists. I hear there is even going to be PoE2 soon. Stop insisting that every ARPG must be like PoE. And stop accusing anyone who wants the resspeccing to be easier of "not understanding that meaningfull skill progression is neccesary in a good ARPG"(I want to be clear that everybody does that, but people who do that are so annoying and this post is my way of expressing my annoyance with such people). D3 had no "meaningfull character progression". It did not make you live with consequences of a mistake. And it brought a lot of enjoyment to a lot of people. And all of us here have a right to enjoy whatever "skill progrssion philosophy" we prefer. To give an analogy, McDonalds does not serve the world's greatest burgers, but a lot of people visit it and like eating there. And people who tell McDonalds' clients that Big Mac is a bad burger and every burger must be like Honest Burgers(I live in UK, so feel free to insert your local upscale burger chain) just show themselves to be lacking any kind of civility and respect for others.
