Japan time converter

I was in the Navy and my ship homeport shifted to Japan.
I had a buddy hold onto my car, and he accumulated eight parking tickets.
My buddy never paid them, or told me, and the fines accumulated over two years time.
I came back to America last month and just found out.
Buddy does not want to help me pay for them.
What can I do?

Long time lurker, first time poster! I am a cradle Catholic and my wife converted when we got married 5 years ago. My wife started wearing her veil to mass and really took to it. I came home from work one day and she had her mantilla on, and I wasnt sure what to think, I was shocked tbh.
We sat down and spoke about it after the children went to bed and she broke out a litany of bible quotes and statements from the Fathers & Doctors of the Catholic church stating that it is what a good Catholic woman should do. It was tough for me to argue against the words of St Paul and the Psalms.
I have to admit, I do like the veil. I think its beautiful and every day I come home from work and see her I immediately think of our lord and his blessed mother.
My question is: Why dont more Catholic women veil full-time? Its not in vogue with the current state of modernity, but it is biblical.

I post while back about strict excel sheet not converting when being added as data source. A work around was to convert all dates to text format in excel. For some reason this is happening with date of birth and time. I have changed and type format in excel and changed to string, date, and time. Any thoughts or advice?

I lost 5 cats in 2 years, of which 4 in the last half year.
2 years ago I lost my sweet cat Hannah who was blind, had dementia and kidney failure. Her death was not a surprise, she was 19 years old and even though it hurt insanely, I 'had' her since she was 1.5 years old, I could accept it as a natural occurance.
The four cats that were still around mourned her, but went on with their life. But then, on 30 december 2022 I went to the vet because Charlie (11 years old) suddenly could not stand on her legs anymore. At the vet they saw she had diabetes, kidney failure, a tumor and an electrolyte problem, and the vet suggested that she be put to sleep. This was an extreme shock, totally unexpected, she was so young, and I was totally caught off guard. I never ever expected her to go so soon and suddenly.
On 9 february 2023 I lost Hommel. Hommel had extreme kidney failure for many years, could not hold in her pee anymore and was in extreme pain. We had a couple of nice last hours with her due to the morphine that the vet gave her, and then we had to say goodbye, she was 16 years old.
On 8 may 2023 my cat Wolfje (10) went for a walk outside and never came back. We still do not know if he is dead yes or no. He was chipped, but no one has seen and/or found him. It is like the earth swallowed him.
His best friend (Bolletje 15 years old) went into a state of depression when Wolfje went missing (they were 'bonded cats'), he did still eat, although not as much, we let him eat near us so he felt some company but sunday night he started to lose consciousness and he died on monday 29 may 2023.
I am in a total state of shock, I feel like there is this evil curse over me, and i have a very very hard time coping with this. The house is big, empty, i have a hole in my heart and nothing to live for. There is no one waiting when i wake up, and no one who lies on the bed at night. The loneliness and emptiness is immense.
Has someone lost so many companions in such a short time as well? Everyone i talk to is shocked by the amount of losses, and that makes me feel even worse.
English is not my native language, and i already have a hard time converting the feelings into words in my native language so bear with the mistakes or the bluntness.

So today I took my dad's 2006 Maruti Suzuki Alto to a Maruti dealership for a timing belt change after it broke yesterday on the highway. After reaching there, I went straight to the workshop area to look at my car being worked up. I have this habit of observing the work and keep asking questions to the mechanics (being a mechanical engineer, I like knowing about this stuff). We get the car serviced at an external garage which is Maruti authorised and they are always more than happy to answer all the questions. But today the Maruti showroom people were constantly discouraging me to stay in the workshop area. I even told the manager that as a customer I should be allowed to stay near my car but they said it's not allowed. At first, I thought they are just being polite by asking me to wait in the customer lounge but they told me to go and sit there multiple times. I kept going at regular intervals to check the work and everytime they just told me to go wait in the lounge. At one point, a mechanic even increased his voice. Keep in mind that today, I wasn't even asking any questions, just me being there was giving this reaction from their end. They even messed up my timing and pickup reduced drastically, due to inexperienced staff and had to redo the entire operation which fixed the issue but converted a 2 hour job into an 8 hour job. Also, they levied an extra 1.5k labour charge for changing an oil seal that was changed while the timing belt case was opened. I explained them this and they removed the charge, this wouldn't have been possible if I did not keep going to the workshop area again and again and notice the various things.
Rant over.
TL DR; As a customer I should be allowed to look at my car being worked up. It should be my choice to go and sit in the customer lounge and not forced. Maruti discourages this kind of behaviour.

Asking because I'm wondering if this is normal or an issue with me vs the gun.
Bought a 365-380 with manual safety. Dry firing around the house to make sure it's good before it gets carried. This is my first manual safety ever purchased, I prefer non MS personally.
In dry firing and practicing reloads, I've had a couple of times where sweeping the manual safety to "fire" but the trigger safety still feels engaged. Not able to getting the trigger to fire without recycling the safety or the slide. In attempting to recreate the issue, I can't. It only seems to happen randomly when dry firing, not when I specifically try to pin the trigger before trying to release the safety etc.
The gun is new and only has like 50 rounds through it so far. Wanting to put 300-500 rounds through it to make sure it's all good before carrying anyways, so not a big deal. But wondering if this is a me issue or if other people have run into it?
As an aside, I also have an xmacro that I sometimes convert to a standard p365 (using the macro FCU). Sometimes the slide rams home on its own when inserting a new mag (any mag), and other times it doesn't lock back on the last round (10 round mags). Anyone else run into this before?

To be brief, I moved my Roth IRA from Vanguard to Fidelity.
I'm about 50/50 in VIGAX and VFAIX, with both having about $17,000 invested in them ($34,000 total account balance). I bought these funds while my IRA was with Vanguard so of course didn't pay any fees at that time.
I was considering consolidating both funds into FXAIX since there's already a big overlap between the Vanguard funds and the expense ratio is lower for the Fidelity version of the S&P 500 fund.
I want to a) double check my math and b) see if I'm overlooking anything.

• On the convert funds page, it looks like there would be a $75 fee to do this for each fund.
• VIGAX has a 0.05% expense ratio.
• VFAIX has a 0.04% expense ratio.
• FXAIX has a 0.015% expense ratio.

Annualized, this would be:

• ($17,000 x .005) + ($17,000 x .004) = $153 in fees at Vanguard
• (34,000 x 0.0015) = $51 in fees at Fidelity if I exchanged
• $102 in fee savings at Fidelity annually (everything else equal), so roughly a 1.5 year break-even period to sell the Vanguard funds (2 * $75 = $150)

Does that look right?
Just at a fee level, it seems like a no brainer since it's a short break-even period and it would save me thousands over the course of my retirement journey.
There's a huge overlap in holdings between VIGAX and VFAIX, so I think it makes sense to collapse those down into one fund, and then of course VFAIX and FXAIX should be identical with the exception of interest rate.
It's obviously not a make or break decision, more of an optimization.
Am I overlooking anything?

Hi there! I am looking to apply to teach in an IS in Japan next year (fall 2024) and am feeling really down about how difficult it might be. My partner is Japanese and will be going back to Tokyo for his PhD, which is why I want to teach in Japan specifically.
I currently work for a large school board in Toronto. I have a masters degree in primary/junior teaching from Canada's top education school. I mainly teach spec ed, and have many additional qualifications including in teaching math, teaching students with ASD/intellectual disabilities, etc. (I know the latter is not super useful for IS).
I have one year of occasional/supply teaching, and one year of half-time (for childcare reasons - I have a toddler). I will be teaching full-time next year. In Ontario, it takes a long time to become a permanent teacher, so it can be tricky when thinking about meeting these school's requirements for "full time teaching" experience.
I know for certain that I won't get into ASIJ or any of the top schools, given I will only have 2 years of experience teaching my own class (3 years altogether including supply teaching).
I was wondering what people's experiences with lower-tier IS schools might be.

So I(F20)started dating this guy Ray(M20 ) in my college one month back. We met through my best friend let's call her red around 2 months back . She has known him for 6 months and has a thing for him for sometime until she started dating someone. But they still talked very frequently in texts . Over a year ago, I asked for help on how to unlink my Gaijin Entertainment account from DMM Games and most of the responses were helpful. Thanks guys! However, I should've mentioned that the DMM Games account that was linked to my War Thunder account was deleted as I stupidly thought that deleting it might automatically unlink the accounts (it did not). Now that I live in the USA and not Japan, I thought I'd try to unlink again after being told 4 times that I couldn't in Japan only to be told by a Senior Support Specialist that I would have to contact DMM Games here in America. All I want to know is if it is even possible for me to contact DMM Games to unlink a nonexistent account from my War Thunder account.
