2023.06.06 18:38 yoniweb Looking for a printer for photo banner work. Confusing Epson information.

I'm looking for a desktop printer to use to print 12x24 (or bigger) photos. I want the images to not have streaks, but it doesn't have to be art photo levels of quality.
I tumbled across a pcmag.com article that lists the WF-7310 as being able to print 13 by 47.2 inches using the single-sheet rear tray. Great, only, I can't find any information to back this up. It also made me wonder if any of the newer EcoTank printers have this ability as I love the cost saving and convencience.
Anyone know which Epson have large sheet abilities?

2023.06.06 18:36 JoshAsdvgi THE ORIGIN OF SOME ORAIBI CLANS

THE ORIGIN OF SOME ORAIBI CLANS

THE ORIGIN OF SOME ORAIBI CLANS
A Hopi Legend
Away down the sípapu in the under-world the people lived in the same manner as they do here.
The wife of the chief of the Bear clan often danced in the Butterfly dance (Políhtikivee), at which the chief got angry.
The Spider clan had also a chief.
The Bear chief sent the Pö'okong to limit for them another life (kátci) or world and see whether they could not get out. He was so angry at his wife's participating in the dance, fearing that she would be led astray, he wanted to go away and leave her.
Pö'okong and his younger brother Balö'ongahoya went in search of another world, and when they returned, reported that there was an opening right above them.
Pö'okong had reached it by means of a reed on which he had spit and thus made it strong. The chief said, as they were still dancing (the Butterfly dance) they would move in four days. After four days they were still dancing, and the chief said to some one that he would not tell his wife anything, but try to find another wife.
So he left, being accompanied by Pö'okong and, Balö'ongahoya, the Pölis still dancing wildly.
They started and went out, Pö'okong first, then Balö'ongahoya, then the Bear clan chief, who was followed by the Spider clan chief.
Then the Bear clan people, the Spider clan people, and after them many other people came out.
When many were out the Bear chief closed the opening.
When they were out the chief said, ''Well, what now?"
They were in the dark yet, the entrance, however, being closed.
The chief sent the Eagle who flew around hunting an opening or light.
He returned, and the chief asked: ''Taá um hin nawóti?" "Well, I found an opening and made it more light, but it is very hot high up yet. Send another one."
So the chief sent the Buzzard (Wicóko).
The latter ascended higher but got burned (hence he has no feathers on his head and wings), but he made it lighter, When he returned that chief said: "Thank you.
Well, now what? Now it is somewhat better.
The sky has been opened somewhat more and it is much lighter."
The question arose: Which way? The Bear clan spoke for the South, the Spider clan for the north, and the latter talking more and getting the greater crowd, the Spider clan went northward.
The Spider Clan
This clan traveled northward.
The chief first, the people following.
After four nights they carne to a nice country, where the "North Old Man" (Kwináe Wuhtaka) lives.
But it was cold there.
The chief decided that there they would stay.
So the people were glad and began to plant corn, watermelon, melons, sweet corn, etc.
The chief had brought with him the cult and altar of the Blue Flutes.
When the corn began to grow the chief put up his altar, sang and fluted, but he did all that alone.
So the corn, etc., grew nicely, but when it tasseled and the ears began to develop, it became cold and the crop was destroyed.
"Ishohi!" (Oh!) the people exclaimed.
They tried it another year, but the same: thing was repeated in every respect.
Again no crop.
Another year it was tried, but now the corn only began to tassel, and the fourth year it was still very small when the frost killed it.
Then there was dissatisfaction. "Ishohí! (Oh!) Our Father, you have spoken falsely, you said it was good here."
So they all also started southward after the Bear People.
After the first night the chief said to his wife: "You bathe yourself."
This she did (in warm water).
Then she rubbed her body and collected the small scales which she had rubbed from her skin and handed them to her husband.
He laid them on a blanket until there was a considerable quantity of them.
He then wrapped this in a reed receptacle, sang over it and waved it four times, whereupon the scales turned into burros and rushed out.
"What is that?" the people asked.
"Those are burros," the chief said.
So they were glad that now they would not have to carry everything themselves any longer, and the chief said that now they would move on towards the rising sun.
The chief and his wife repeated the same performance, but instead of burros, Spaniards came out.
To them the chief said: You put supplies and your things on the burros and follow the other Hopi (that is, the Bear clan), and when you overtake them, kill them.
So the Castilians went south, and the Spider people went south-east, following a Stream (Nönö'pbaya, a rolling stream, because of the high recoiling waves).
They came to a nice place where they stayed one year and planted and reaped a crop.
From there they proceeded south-east, stopped another year at a certain place, where they again planted, but were harassed by enemies.
They saved a portion of the crop and proceeding farther south-east they ascended a bluff or mesa, staying another year and planting in the valleys.
Thus they stopped in all at ten different places, but being constantly harassed by the people along the water, they never planted more than once.
Finally they arrived where the sun rises and the Americans (Bahánas) live.
With them they became friends; here they planted, their children learned the language a little, and they stayed there three years.
They also here learned that the Bear clan had been there and had already gone westward again.
The Spider people followed, arrived at Oraíbi, where they found , the Bear clan, whom they joined.
Their chief was then Machíto.
They also had the Â'ototo and Áholi Katcinas.

The Bear Clan
This clan had gone south from the sípahpuni.
They had with them the Â'ototo Katcina.
They soon found the Young Corn Ear (Píhk'ash) people with the Áholi Katcina, who wanted to join them.
So the Bear clan chief took them along.
They stopped at a place and here had a good crop because they had the two Katcinas with them.
The next year they came to a clear stream.
In all they stopped ten times before arriving at the Americans, where the sun rises.
Here they stopped four years.
Their children learned a little English.
The land being scarce, the Americans told them to go west and hunt land for themselves, and if anybody would be bad to them (núkpana) and cause their children to die, they (the Americans) would come and cut the Núkapana's heads off.
This was told them, because they (the Americans) had been told that down in the old home there had been Pópwaktû (sorcerers, etc.).
So they traveled westward, found the Pueblo, but no good land that they could get.
So they finally arrived at Shongópavi, where some people lived, and there they settled down.
One time the people saw that the chief, Machíto, held a sweet corn-ear between every two fingers, at the same time eating from the other hand.
Corn was very scarce at that time, so the people spoke to him about his greediness, at which he got angry and left, taking with him the Â'ototo and Áholi.
Hunters later found them at a rock, now Bean Spreading Place (Báhpu- Möyanpi), where there is still a stone on which there is some writing called Machítûtûbeni.
Machíto left his wife at Shongópavi, also his people, who then formed the Shongópavi Bear clan.
When the hunters found him they informed the people at Shongópavi.
Some went there to get them back, but Machíto would not listen to them.
Then his wife went to him but he would not listen to her either.
So they left him. Machíto took a big stone and went with them for some distance to make the landmark between Oraíbi and Shongópavi.
The people said several times: "Put it here." But he would not listen until arriving at a place called "Ocápchomo," where he placed it, thus making a landmark between the fields of the Shongópavi and his own.
Then Machíto and the two Katcinas went up the Oraíbi mesa where they remained.
Later the Spider people arrived.
Machíto asked about their wanderings and they told him.
He wanted to know why the corn would not grow although they had the Flute cult.
The Spider clan chief accused the "North Old Man."
Machíto then said: "All right, you may live here, but as your cult does not seem to be effective, you watch the sun for me, and when he has arrived at his south limit, you tell me, and we shall have the Soyál ceremony.
Also your pü'htavi does not seem to have been good, so I want you to make my kind of pü'htavi."
After the matter had been settled between Machíto and the Spider clan chief, the latter's people came up.
Among these were also the Lizard clan, to which the Sand clan is related.
These names were given to people while wandering.
One would find and see something, perhaps under peculiar circumstances, and he called after it.
The Lizard people were also asked what they knew and when they said the Maraú cult, they were also permitted to stay, but were requested to co- operate in the Soyál ceremony.
For that reason Pungñánömsi, who is of the Bear clan, and village chief, now makes the pûhu (road) in the night of the Maraú ceremony from the nátsi at the south end of the kiva towards the rising sun.
The Rattle-snake (Tcû'a) clan also came with the Spider clan to Oraíbi, but it is not known how or where this clan became a part of the Spider clan, The Badger people understand medicines, hence they prepare the medicine--for instance, charm liquid--for the Flute, Snake, Maraú, and other ceremonies.
Another Badger clan and the Butterfly (Pówul) came from Kíshi-wuu.
These brought the Powámu and Katcina cult.
The Divided Spring (Bátki) clan came from where the sun rises.
They came to the village of Oraíbi and arranged a contest at Muyíovatki where each planted corn, the Blue Flutes sweet corn, the others, Wupákaö, over which they played the whole day.
The sweet corn grew first, and so the Blue Flutes to this day go to the village in processions, etc., first closing the well (batñi) on the plaza.
Later the Drab Flutes (Masítâlentu) had to throw their meal, mollas, etc., from a distance to the warrior (Keléhtaka) of the Cakwálâlentu, who put them into the well in the booth for them.

2023.06.06 18:32 ermagerditssuperman Trip report - 5 nights in Mexico

Trip report - 5 nights in Mexico
Recently did 5 nights at an all-inclusive resort in Riviera Maya. First time going all-inclusive, needed a relaxation-focused trip.
I used a Cotopaxi Tasra 16, and the Bellroy System work bag (16L). This was the first trip using the Tasra, I'd bought it literally days before at the REI members sale. I love it! Perfect for my 16" torso length. (In background - fiance used my Tom Bihn Makers Bag and Peak Design 45 travel bag. I've got enough of a bag collection for both of us now!). This is the first time I've used the Bellroy in ages, I honestly don't like it for EDC or work... But it worked OK as a travel bag, just a bit too big and cumbersome.
Shout-out to the couple in front of me in security at Cancun airport, with whom I exchanged compliments on their Cotopaxi fanny packs and they on my Cotopaxi backpack. Also, I did notice one of you had a Topo Designs backpack, and I wish I'd asked which one it was cause it looked great!
Read below for TMI on what I packed, and proof that I probably shop at REI too much.
Photo 2 is everything liquid - I have a lot of cosmetic allergies so I don't rely on finding what I need at my destination (NYM conditioner, NYM shampoo, deodorant isn't liquid and is in this photo by accident, bacitracin because I'm allergic to neosporin and every hotel first aid kit uses that, lotion with aloe, aloe gel, itch cream, nivea face cream [didn't use], concealer [didn't use], aquaphor lip treatment, face sunscreen).
Photo 3 is dry toiletries (assorted hair accessories, compostable floss, laundry soap, one tub of pills/vitamins, one of TUMS chewables [didn't use], travel toothbrush, anti chub-rub stick, deodorant, spf chapstick, solid sunscreen, solid bug-deterrant stick, body soap)
Photo 4 are the toiletries my fiance packed that I used - toothpaste, face cleanser stick, his comb because I forgot mine.
Photo 5 is tops (lilly pulitzer long blouse, spare bra, yellow REI running tee, blue Outdoor Afro tee, Prana black tank, REI trailmade pullover tees in both green and tropical print [LOVE these so much], a coverup wrap my mom got in Cancun 20 yrs ago)
Photo 6 is swimwear (old speedo one piece, Athleta rashguard, Athleta bottoms [one of few brands I found with styles that cover my WHOLE butt], sports-bra-style top from Wild Isles [highly recommend for my fellow busty friends, this is their size 4 and I'm a 32FF. I was fully secure and fully covered at all times]). I wished I had a short sleeve rashguard, because the long one got hot but I also like to keep my shoulders protected as I burn easily.
Photo 7 - a packable grocery tote we used at the beach, and a wetbag that we used to keep phones & books dry during tropical rains, and then used to hold damp swimsuits when flying home.
Photo 8 - more clothes (REI trailmade amphib shorts, prana shorts, prana dress [I forgot that I would a) not have my usual under-dress skimmy shorts and b) would be eating a ton because all-inclusive, so a clingy dress was a bad idea. Wore it only once])
9- xero sandals, this was the first time they've had significant usage and they were GREAT. Packed these, and wore Feelgrounds canvas sneakers on the plane and at dinner restaurants.
10- i got this little bag when I ordered Bombas Gripper Slippers, I have now used it on 4 trips to pack my shoes in! They fit perfectly and keep shoes isolated from my clothes.
11- all the non-clothing stuff. Bellroy classic pouch had the dry toiletries, Tom Bihn 3D OC had the liquids. Persona pouch is my Nintendo 3DS bag, didn't end up playing it though. Blue TB ghost whale pouch had chargers and earbuds (samsung galaxy buds plus), then my Bellroy Travel Wallet (the only one that can fit both my passports, dual citizen). Otter at the top is a pencil case jam packed with coloring pens, then my Owalla bottle (the hype is true, these are fantastic), hydroflask tumbler (the waiters at the pool and beach will gladly put your drinks in your own tumblers, so you can enjoy your mega Mango Tango in the sun while keeping it insulated), a Nomadix packable picnic blanket (except I accidentally packed the mini which is way too small for two people to lounge on) and lastly, the stash of books I brought. Wedding planning book, wedding planning planner, an Isaac Asmiov novel that I read a bunch at the swim-up bar, my personal notebook, and a coloring book. I colored at the beach several times and it was fantastically relaxing.
12- bellroy all packed up
13- clothes I wore on the plane (REI sahara long-sleeve [I don't know how but this kept me warm enough on the plane, yet cool enough in the hot humid weather in Mexico. May be my new favorite travel top?], Molke racerback bra in uni-verse pattern, REI trailmade pants (also LOVE, this new trailmade collection is honestly fantastic)

2023.06.06 18:29 Aggravating_Cause904 Wound in dogs ear.

Wound in dogs ear.
Hello! My dog has now taken 4 different medication for a wound she has on her ear. We’ve visited 2 different vets who all prescribed a different antibiotic and the wound is not healing. This had been going on since march now, and she’s itching it constantly by rubbing her face against the carpets. As you can see in the photo, the wound is on a very delicate part of her ear. Every time she pins her ears against her head, it rips right back open. She’s taken prednisone, apoquel, and currently taking cephalexin. I’ve been applying Mometamax daily and using an ear wash 2x a week. Nothing is changing! My boyfriend is suggesting super glue at this point. I’m desperate for help in healing it up.

2023.06.06 18:29 matthewstocks Roommate stole all my Stuff

So I’ve been living with two people. For anonymity we can call them Bill and Sonny. Bill is my older brother and sonny is a disabled older gentleman he takes care of for money. My brother moved him into the house to make taking care of him easier. It’s a rental and my brother was the original lease holder until he moved us in. In Jan. we signed a 6 month lease agreement that was to be renewed at the end of this month. Due to activities within the home that would immediately cause us to be kicked out, and other general annoyances I decided I would move out and not sign back on. I told my roommates that I would be gone by the end of the lease renewal. Well it wasn’t taken well, and some comments were made that made me feel better if I stayed outside the residence until my lease was up. I grabbed some important items and stayed with my other sibling. Texted both roommates that I would be returning for my belongings in a day or two. Texted them the morning of and said if be by in a few hours. My other brother goes with me just to play peace maker. Well I enter the home and I’m told I’m not allowed to go to my part of the house which is upstairs because “he already has tenants in there.” I said that my belonging were still there and he told me that they weren’t and motioned towards the garage. Well what he said was mine was a sleeping bag, a 32 in tv that wasn’t mine, and a trekking pole. He locked himself on the top floor and stopped answering his phone. He then sent me a text saying I abandoned my property and due to failure to pay rent I’m not allowed to just walk into his house. Now I’ve paid him in cash every month and he writes a Cheque to the leasing office for the house. I had just given him rent the week beforehand because he was short on money, and I figured I could just pay my share of rent to him early so he could take care of his finances. I called the police and when they showed up he latched the door Shut with the safety chain so I couldn’t get in with my keys. He then ignored me and the police yelling into the house. Cops let me kick the door in because I’m on the lease, I had mail in my name, and my keys worked on the locks. He started yelling to the police about how I’m not allowed in and blah blah blah. They made him sit down at a dining room table while I grabbed what I could. A lot of my belonging were stolen. My bed, a gun, multiple knives and camping equipment, my social security card and passport etc etc. I have a list. I called the leasing office and told them everything that happened including meth being present in the home. They didn’t seem to care or to be too helpful. They told me I should sign an amendment taking me off the lease. I said I’d rather stay on until the lease was up this month so I still have legal rights to enter the property to get anything. They asked if I wanted to go back. I said not at this time but If I decided to before the month was over I want to have legal rights to enter. They didn’t seem too happy about me saying this so I can’t only assume I’m not getting any help from them. She told me he tried calling and asking them for documentation that stated I abandoned my property, and then backtracked the next day and said he only asked for documents stating I was moving out. She also said she couldn’t give me any documents stating I have legal rights to enter. “What about the lease I signed in January maam?” …. Few moments of silence followed by them saying ok. I asked if they needed anything from me to prove what I’m saying like photos of the drugs being done in the home etc etc. They told me no. Kinda don’t know what to do next now. Because he pawned a lot of my stuff.

2023.06.06 18:28 the_worst_seamstress Boyfriend of almost 6 years wants to end things over a Reddit comment.

I would have just posted a screenshot of the post + my comment, but no images allowed. I follow a sub dedicated to photos of men’s interior decorating, and saw a photo of a cool apartment with the title “what’s missing?” My brain automatically went to “me ;)” and that’s what I commented. Meaning I’d live there, but obviously in a joking way and not WITH a random stranger on the internet who I don’t even know what they look like. My boyfriend saw the comment and has decided I’m over him and seeking attention from other men and am gaslighting him by saying it was a joke and not even expecting a reply from the OP. I can’t convince him otherwise and I think he just wants me to admit I’m bored with him and in fact flirt with people online. What are your thoughts?
Tl;dr: boyfriend interpreted a comment I made on a post as flirting and wants to end our nearly 6 years over it.

2023.06.06 18:26 dnab_saw_I I made a list of a few Ideas mostly pertaining to an expanded Aquatic update. Sharks, Cave Men and much more!

Before I go into detail let me just list off the things I am suggesting.
-Shark mob
-Piglin Campsites
-Caveman Villagers
-Deep Ocean Trench Biome
-Angler Fish
-Tube Warms
Now here's my art explaining all their behavior.
https://i.imgur.com/f6ZIfJE.png
Of coarse this sub is picky so I will have to explain everything in text aswell.
- Sharks
Sharks were rejected from the Aquatic update because Mojang didn't want to represent them as a monster that harms people, so I made them harm everything ELSE in the ocean. Sheep, Fish, Zombies, Drowned anything they can find they will attack, but not people. The Sharks hang around Coral Reefs but can also be found in the Deep Ocean.
Sharks can be put on a Lead making them useful as under Water bodyguards.

- Piglin Camps
I always thought that the Piglin's were missing something to really make them fit in the Nether and be believable.
So boom, Piglin Camps, it has a Campfire, Logs, Hoglin Pens, and even some loot chests. I think it would fit right in and really complete Piglins as a whole.

- Cave Villagers
This is a silly idea I have had for a while, there are mods that add Villages underground but none do it in the way I am thinking.
I want actual Cave People to be in these settlements, Along with all your stereotypical Cave Men stuff. Mechanically I'm not so sure how they would differ from regular Villagers, but I thought they could deal much more with the grindy aspect of Minecraft. They do work with their hands after all, and sometimes you need 17 stacks of gravel, but instead of breaking your wrists trying to get it yourself you can buy it from these guys at a great bargain!
They also make funny noises, and can ride Animals.

- Deep Ocean Trench
This is the big one, People have suggested this before but if it isn't just the PERFECT thing to make the open sea's more interesting, and it's the perfect use of 1.18's changes to the World height.
These caverns would appear like a stark ravine the descends down hundreds of block, lined with Black Algae and Inhabited by otherworldly Creatures.
It has an increased chance of Ship wrecks, Fossils, Glow fish, Angler fish, And Tube Worms.
Tube Worms are an Animal in real life but I think they would act more like plants in Minecraft, they have to be grown under water and near Magma Blocks, They slow you down like Soul Sand, can be a potion ingredient, and they even hold onto Items that fall on them!

So there you go, if this post gets removed I will be sad because it took so dang long to type all this.

Just finished Doordashing across the USA for five weeks while living out of my SUV. AMA
I’ve been traveling for over ten years on the cheap, working odd jobs in my spare time, and trying to learn more about this world through immersion.
I wanted to see if I could live fully off of Doordash while I traveled the USA, so I left Birmingham, Alabama, with $100 and half a tank, and never really had more than $100 in my account the whole time.
Here are the major places I popped through in order: Birmingham, Huntsville, Nashville, Louisville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, Pittsburg, Morgantown, Charleston, Johnson City, Asheville, Gatlinburg, Chattanooga, and then back to Birmingham.
I worked almost every day for the lunch shift wherever I was, and most days I’d work dinner, too.
Altogether, I never worked more than 40 hours, and usually only was active less than 20.
The more north I went, the easier it was to make good money and work fewer hours. The only exception was Chicago, where gas was too expensive and the orders too cheap to be profitable.
Ultimately, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor, and Pittsburg were where money was best for the time, and Charleston, Johnson City, Asheville, Gatlinburg, and Chattanooga were tough to scrape by.
I made a total of $2017, which averages over five weeks to be $403 per week.
I have a 4x4 4.0 1997 Ford Explorer, which I never drove over 55 mph, and which I averaged an estimate of 15 mpg. I drove around 6,000 miles, and paid around $1,283 in gas at the $3.50 average gas price.
I ate one $5-10 meal per day, and then grazed on snacks throughout.
Since I had already paid up on my cellphone and car insurance (my only two recurrent payments—no health insurance, rental, debt, etc.), and I didn’t do anything that cost money (apart from student entrance fee to Carnegie Museum of Art), these include all of my expenses.
Photo for proof.
Ask me anything.

2023.06.06 18:23 TheRed_Priestess US Visa Application in Calgary, AB (B1/B2) Experience + Process

My appointment was on a Tuesday morning (7:45 AM) There were several "stages" and I'll also share some clients do's and don'ts that will definitely make your appointment smoother.
Please don't take a whole backpack with you. It's even written on the website. They will not let you in if you have a huge purse or a backpack, so better leave it at home. This was such a common issue during my appointment, and some clients even had the audacity to get mad at the guard when it was clearly stated to NOT bring backpacks / tote bags / laptop bags etc.
Don't wear something complicated, wear comfortable and clean clothes. I showed up wearing sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt - and only wore my earrings. I left my Apple Watch, rings, bracelets, necklaces at home. It's way too much of a hassle to take them all off during the "airport" security phase (see below)
Don't arrive TOO EARLY. It clearly says on the website and e-mails to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. There's a Tim Hortons inside the building too if you brought someone with you, or if you need a place to stay while waiting for your appointment.
What to bring: Your DS-160 Confirmation Page, Passport, ID, PR Card (or proof of status document), Supporting Documents (if applicable), and a 2x2 photo
Stages:
  1. Right before you enter the actual office, there's a guard outside to check for initial security (anything hazardous, etc) - pretty standard stuff. She will ask for your passport and will also ask you to turn off your phone.
  2. Next stop will be checking your Passport, DS-160, Photo ID and Proof of Status. They will also explain how you'll get your Visa (if approved) - and just explain your selection (whether you selected home delivery or pick up)
  3. Next stop will be this more thorough security check (think airport security) - you will be asked to take off your jewelry, empty your pockets, take off your shoes and other accessories and place it in the bin. They have a small locker for cellphone, and that's pretty much the only thing that they will keep in there.
  4. You will then be asked to sit in the next room and wait (maximum 2-3 minutes) and you will be guided to the elevator
  5. Next stop: The staff behind the window will ask for your passport, photo and proof of status document. They will keep the photo ID and will ask you to go to the next window.
  6. Fingerprinting
  7. Interview. NOW, there were applicants before me that were interviewed for 10-15 minutes, and at the time of my visit, one of them was interviewed for a solid 40 minutes before getting denied. Of course, it was nerve wracking, but when my turn came - I was only asked 1 question "Why are you visiting the US" After I stated my answer, he handed me the paper (how to track your document's status) and said "Your visa will be likely approved" and he grabbed my passport and off I went. My interview lasted for 15-20 seconds and I was so nervous for nothing. I didn't even have the chance to show any of my supporting documents.

Overall, the entire process was pretty straightforward and quick. I was there at 7:30 AM and was out by 8:47 AM.

I hope this helps someone! This was the type of information I was looking for when preparing for my appointment. If you have any other questions that are not mentioned above, let me know!

2023.06.06 18:17 milaturov What would the lightning look like in a storm of mercury vapor?

I got curious about sandstorms and looked up if they produce lightning, and according to google, they sure do. The sources mentioned that sand is a poor conductor, so how sandstorms generate lightning is still a mystery. Okay, so if whatever is flying around is a better conductor, then better lightning potential.
I thought about something that would be super conductive, and so the go-to was a metal, and the metal to vaporize quickest out of all the metals we know of is mercury. Cause it's already a liquid at room temperature and stuff.
Say there's a really hot atmosphere somewhere in the universe where mercury can exist as a gas in the air and congregate into clouds and storms. Since mercury, being a metal, is super conductive, how would the lightning generated by a mercury storm compare to our water storms on Earth? Would the lightning be a lot more powerful?

2023.06.06 18:14 hermse530 Alligator Crocodile Birkin 25.

When I learned about alligators, I thought I should tell everyone. What do you think of the Hermès crocodile collection?
Only Niloticus Crocodile, Alligator Crocodile, Porosus Crocodile? As Mark told me, these are just a small part of the alligator. In addition to these three crocodile skins with a ratio of 1:1, there are also fake crocodile skins made of domestic crocodile skin and cowhide. It's a scary thing, they vary widely in quality and price. When I see the worst alligator made from cowhide, I think it's horrible. I will upload the video to this thread.
Disclosure: I have not received any discounts or gifts
Seller: Mark
Contact information: WeChat: 17302064349 WhatsApp: +86 173 0206 4349
Price: Original price $5,200, discounted price $4,420 + 100 shipping. Paid a total of $4320
Shipping: FedEx
Agenda: 4/1 inquiry and deposit payment
4/2 I received a message from Mark, saying that I will go to buy crocodile skin on May 6, and I can choose the crocodile skin by myself. Due to the time difference, I declined.
4 / 3 I received photos of Mark buying leather.
4/21 received PSP
4/27 Received the package

My photo
Leather
PSP
Fake crocodile skin
Quality: 10/10
I opened the package and sniffed it. It smells great, without that nasty leather chemical smell, which is my favorite smell. The edge oiling is so beautifully done.lt has such a slight curve at the top - it s so perfect!! The hardware is so smooth and even - and the pearling is wonderful. This is a real handmade bag
Accuracy: 9.5/10
The colors are very correct. I'm not very detail oriented, the shape of the bag is exact, I just roughly measured the size and I think it's almost the same. Carefully checked the font of the hardware, and there is a certain gap (-0.25) with auth. The points on the bevel and twist lock plate seem to be the right size. Also, the top flap is a bit wide, but it's negligible when opening the bag (-0.25)
Satisfaction :10/10
For the bag and mark, I'm already very satisfied. He is very honest. I met Mark through a friend. My friend met Mark through Taobao. I can learn a lot from him. Every time I buy a bag, I can see the transformation from leather to perfect bag. Of course, he will send you some production process.
Communication :10/10
Mark has always been my go-to seller. He is enthusiastic, quick to communicate and responsible. There are often discounted promotions.
CPR :10/10 For me, the price is acceptable. Since it's a 1:1 skin, it's the perfect bag, and I love it. I hate the disgusting chemical smell of leather. Before I knew Mark, the bags I bought and sold reeked of sickening chemicals. Even if I pay a little more, I don't want to smell that disgusting smell, I'm afraid it will give me cancer
he Wrap Up: 7/10 Per the wiki guideline, "I'd wear it around family and friends, but experts wouldn't". Just because I know alligator skin is hard to come by! He's perfect, it's just that I don't have the guts‬

2023.06.06 18:14 DfwTallWmafDom Emergency poll- Should we go dark with other subredddits in solidarity over the API changes breaking phone apps? Also, Read Me First, June Updates, Seeking new Mods, etc

Hey folks, large amounts of Reddit subs are going dark starting June 12th for 48 hours to protest the API changes that will break all 3rd party phone apps. I personally use Joey for this Reddit account, and several of our other mods use 3rd party clients or find this very annoying. I understand where Reddit is coming from, they should charge for data at least with for profit apps or using Reddit to train AI, but community and open source stuff is different. Let me know what you think, we'll run this poll till Friday the 9th then decide on Saturday the 10th if we go dark on Monday June 12th so that everyone gets plenty of warning.
Specifically "NSFW Content is no longer going to be available in the API. This means that, even if 3rd party apps continue to survive, or even if you pay a fee to use a 3rd party app, you will not be able to access NSFW content on it. You will only be able to access it on the official reddit app. Additionally, some service bots (such as video downloaders or maybe remindme bots) will not be able to access anything NSFW. In more major cases, it may become harder for moderators of NSFW subreddits to combat serious violations such as CSAM due to certain mod tools being restricted from accessing NSFW content." https://www.reddit.com/gaming/comments/141lsip/reddit_api_changes_subreddit_blackout_and_how_it/ I think this represents Reddit continuing to try to kill NSFW content so they can IPO without exposing just how much they make from NSFW on their financials. Frankly, this should concern all of us. Craigslist, Backpage, the sex worker Mastodon Switter, etc have all gotten driven off the internet over the years. Tumblr dumped adult content, etc. It's a nightmare for the credit card companies, banks, and compliance sucks, I get it. But at some point we have to stand up for our freedom of speech on the internet to discuss adult topics.

Back to our previous post:

OK folks, we're looking to add a couple more moderators. Ideally, we'd like at least one gay guy to patrol all the M4M ads, which we barely touch today. We'd also LOVE A WOMAN if any of you are willing. Best way to get noticed? Report stuff to us via Chat or DM or modmail, offer helpful suggestions, etc. Show us expertise in automoderator. Do some research for the FAQ.
We're cracking down on F4M ads that don't use an actual neighborhood or suburb name and just say generic stuff like Dallas or Fort Worth or "Downtown" since most of that activity is spam. It doesn't have to be your actual suburb for your privacy, it can be nearby. Live in Plano? Say Carrolton or Allen. We're going to nuke first, then ask you to appeal. Sorry for that, I know it's a pain, but we've gotten maybe one appeal in the last six months, which says to me that everything we nuked was probably spam unless we discouraged actual real posters so much they didn't even bother to appeal which seems crazy.
We have a LOT of folks sending modmail about the automoderator post format. Please get it right. And low effort means you need at least like 140 characters- if you're posting less than that go get on Twitter or a dating app or something lol.
Previous posts, all still valid:
Sending dick pics in Texas without a request is a CRIME. That's right, it's a class C misdemeanor which might show up on a background check. Don't do it. If someone reports it, you will be permabanned. Someone has to explicitly say "Send me a dick pic" either in their post or in a chat / DM to you. Nothing else counts, not "Send me a pic" not anything. Explicitly say "I wanna see your cock", understand? https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/86billtext/html/HB02789I.htm
Don't send and then delete cock pics, we will STILL ban you. Don't send homemade porn either unless she asks or approves when you ask.
RULES ADDITION: If you say "Check out my profile, there's pics you might like" and you have for instance, pinned or recently posted a bunch of dick pics, you better include a warning "There's dick pics or nudes" or we will ban you for two weeks or a month if reported. Don't try to trick girls into seeing your dick in a link on Reddit, your Reddit profile, or offsite to a photo album or other site by telling them to click on or open something that immediately has dicks without warning them. We will ban for this if it looks sketchy like you were trying to trick her or deliberately didn't warn. Note: If someone has to go scroll multiple pages back to find a dick pic, that's not what we're worried about. We're worried about guys trying to get girls to click on their profiles and stuffing it full of dicks immediately on open or the next page. You can post in here even if you've got dick pics in your recent history or even pinned as long as you don't try to get girls to open your profile. You can tell a girl you have a Fetlife or offsite notoriously NSFW site profile, it's probably expected there's nudes there, but please be courteous and warn them.
Always post your general area in your ad title or the post itself. Scammers don't know our area and thus the automatically posted spam stuff won't have geographic details and lots of scammers will pick an implausible area. Posting just Dallas or Fort Worth isn't specific enough, pick a neighborhood, and some scammers just say "downtown" without saying which downtown. If you're concerned about anonymity, an easy fix is to pick a place near yours. You're in Lower Greenville IRL? On here, you're posting from Lakewood or Deep Ellum, problem solved.
Other items:
  1. We're continuing to ban dick pic senders, spammers, etc. Please continue to report stuff to us via the report button or with screenshots via DM / Chat or . I'm pretty sure reporting bad DMs will get people banned from Reddit as well. Click the flag icon and you can report chat messages to Reddit- I've gotten guys banned from Reddit who have dick pic'd me or sent me pictures of their open mouth. https://www.reddit.com/r4rDFW/comments/xsivlt/a_reminder_unsolicited_dick_pics_to_anyone_are_a/
  2. The admins have been nuking posts in here more than usual. Please obey the global Reddit rules. https://www.redditinc.com/policies/content-policy https://www.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043513471 Specifically: "Paid services involving physical sexual contact;" Don't post sex work ads in here, which includes trying to find people to make content for your OnlyFans, or post F4M ads that are basically designed to get guys to click on your profile and join your OnlyFans, etc. I'm sorry, it isn't my rule. I am sure you can find ways to get clients here or offsite without posting explicit ads. We have plenty of thirsty M4F posters you can DM and offer. We don't want our subreddit banned.
  3. Reminder to think with your head, not your dick. There's constant spam and scams and other stuff going on, we moderators can't sit in front of our PCs 24x7 and nuke posts. Learn how to spot bad shit and don't do anything stupid. A good tip is to take any messaging username given to you and search Reddit or Google for it to look for other accounts or scammy behavior. The majority of F4M posts that don't obey our rules and format are scams. And NEVER give a girl money in any format whether gift card, CashApp, Venmo, whatever before a meetup. For some reason, the majority of scammer posts are like 22 or 24 or 27 Fs. If a younger girl is asking for some crazy shit, take a breath and ask why? Learn how to reverse search images to look for stolen pics. Common spam signatures include "#Dallas" or "#FortWorth" in the title, a single paragraph demanding a bunch of edgy sex acts, posting in FreeKarma4U or other a few random subs to get upvotes. Always search Kik names and other social media usernames on Google and Reddit- it's amazing how many are reused for scams.
  4. Remember, one post per user per day. And you cannot post the same ad more than once in a week- this means you can post totally different things but don't just change the title or post slightly. Don't repeat your posts. It looks spammy and we will give you a one week ban.
  5. We've had a couple folks show up begging for gift cards or other help. This really creeps me out and probably violates the Reddit rules. I think Dallas has a list of resources that can help, please go there instead of asking in here. We suspect many of these are scams too.
  6. Reddit chat was bugged for a while. If you've got unread chats that won't go away, check https://old.reddit.com/chat/ to see the message requests you aren't getting.

2023.06.06 18:13 Xepharath Black Void Entrance - Alternate Dimension

This story was narrated by The Dark Somnium. There was a group of body guards hired to partake in an exploration. There was a cocky explorer who entered this giant black void of a 'wall' where time was stretched inside of it. 10 seconds in person would be 3 hours inside but communication was cut off after I think 15 minutes with that researcher. The body guards decide to enter and see a land of red sand with shadow like figures in the distance, the sound of wailing and screaming near the giant empty towers. The group of 3 begin to get paranoid walking though almost a deserted New York like city area. Eventually the main character blacks out and somehow arrives back at the researching center, later revealing he killed everybody in the paranoid haze. Any help is appreciated to find this story.

2023.06.06 18:10 golfvictor115 “Online Jobs”

It seems people are desperate to find these elusive “online jobs” but it takes more than just having internet and a computer. You need to be skilled at something and probably even be at the top of your game.
Whats are these skills? Here are some i can think of:
There’s lots of money in selling courses and creating tutorials. Just have a look at how many views tutorials get on YouTube. Sure, you might not make 1 million but you might get 5k, 20k, who knows maybe even 100k. These can be from make-up tutorials, cooking tutorials, programming tutorials etc
Writing articles goes along with the above. Some people write blogs that have so much traction that they get hundreds of visitors a day. These visitors can be easily converted to customers by approaching brands and writing reviews of their products etc.
Programming/Tech. There’s so much resources online and courses too. Tech also involves graphic design, UI/UX etc.
Video editing. Youtubers hire editors for their videos. But you first need to create a serious portfolio of your work for people to be interested in you.
Photography. Some sell their amazing artwork online or just display it online and get called by companies to take photos of their businesses etc. Others get paid to edit photos.
Music. People make beats and sell them online. But you need to be good. Practice makes perfect though
The list is endless. But as you can see, all these take time. You might take 1, 2 or maybe 3 years to perfect your skill (but no one wants that) Everyone wants money now. It doesn’t work that way.
Learn a skill(or skills). Perfect your craft. Then think of how to monetize it.
