2023.06.07 16:59 nedraeb Passed AWS Security Specialty!

Sharing my experience. I work in consulting and have almost 2 years of experience with AWS. I have all the associate level and the cloud practitioner, as well as the CompTIA Sec +. I started really studying for the certification about a month ago. The company I work for has Udemy business and so I was using u/stephanemaarek course on there. My company sent me to a 3 day virtual boot camp which in my opinion was pretty much useless for the exam and probably set me back in studying. After that, I took a practice test from Stephane and made a 50 something. I realized I needed more so I went for u/acantril course which I felt had more detail in some areas and was lacking in others maybe Stephane has already updated his course for the new version? Stephane had a ton of detail and covered topics that I did not recall being covered in Adrian’s course. I do like that Adrian covers real world use cases a bit more than Stephane does. One thing I did notice is that Adrian’s practice tests are not designed to simulate test questions, therefore, I also decided to go ahead and get the u/jon-bonso-tdojo TD practice exams. I took 3 of them and I reviewed material using both Stephane and Adrian's course I scored in the 70s on all 3. I also found u/Digital-Cloud Neil Davis' course and did the practice test which I made an 80 on then the morning of my test watched through his exam cram section, which I know saved me a couple of questions on the test. Of all the practice tests I used I would say Stephane's was the most difficult. I was really not sure if I was ready yet, but after some encouragement, I decided to go ahead and take the test and I passed at 822.
If you are looking to get just one course I would rec Stephane's atm. Maybe couple that with td practice exams and Adrian's course if you need it. If I was just starting out I would look at getting Adrian's course bundle as well. Also, I would say that a disadvantage of Adrian's course is that he is a cat person, not a dog person jk.

2023.06.07 16:58 MartianBlobfish Primary Weapon Ideas.

Felt like thinking of some weapon concepts just cause, one primary weapon for each dwarf. These are just basic ideas with not much thought put into it outside of the core concept, so not many mod or overclock ideas. Also I don't have all the overclocks and there's allot I don't have much experience with so there's a chance these idea are already in the game to some extent or they just won't work at all. Heads up this is a long post.
Scout: Gonna start with Scout because I had the hardest time thinking of an idea for him, most of his primaries allow for rapid fire and can be used on the run but I couldn't think of anything like that that hadn't already been done. I thought it'd be cool to lean more into the Scout's ability to reposition himself so I thought of a weapon that capitalists on his movement. Not good with names but I'll try to come up with one for each, I'll call this one the 'RTN Policy'. When firing with this gun every bullet will embed themselves into terrain/enemies/dwarfs they're shot into and when you alt fire the bullets are returned or 'RTN'ed to your gun, damaging any enemy they hit. RTNing doesn't use ammo. These bullets can also crit while RTNing and this weapon doesn't damage fellow Dwarfs, since I figured RTNing bullets from other Dwarves would be fun so removing friendly fire would incentivize doing that. Also only a certain amount of bullets can be out at once, once too many bullets are in the level the older ones would disappear.
Driller: Next up my main, the Driller's primaries don't deal critical damage and are good at AOE/Crowd Control, they also tend to be elementally themed. He's also not that good at dealing at ranged enemies so I thought of something that kinda helps with that, I'm gonna call it the 'Thunder Coil'? Too similar to the Coil Gun... How about the 'Arc Surge'? Eh good enough. The Arc wouldn't really help with long range enemies but it'd be useful for Mactera, instead of the AOE effect needing to be applied to the ground instead the electricity would linger in the air after firing the weapon, it'd also automatically arc to targets in range when attacking making it better at hitting fast moving targets. Though it'd probably deal less damage, trading it for consistency instead. I'm not too familiar with Lightning damage so this one's probably not the most thought out idea. I guess an overclock similar to the Ice Spear could be cool for it too, like instead of a spear you just shoot out a bolt of lightning, probably consuming even more ammo.
Gunner: The only real element of Gunner's primaries that I think are consistent are: Sustained fire weapons that shoot kinda fast and has allot of ammo. For Gunner I wanted to think of a way to make renewable ammo work, like being able to get ammo back without needing a resupply, and I think I thought of a way to make it work in a way that has a substantial enough trade off. I call it the '"Bug Mulcher" Full Auto Shredder'. The main gimmick for the Mulcher is that it has less ammo than normal but your alt fire is a melee attack that chops up bugs and turns them into ammo. This would give the gunner another effective close range primary and would incentivize an aggressive playstyle that's similar to the new Doom games. However there's a cap to how high your ammo can get when gaining ammo this way, so if you want to fight at range for longer you'd need to restock. The early ideas for this weapon had the alt fire dig up the terrain for ammunition, slower than the drills though, didn't feel like it'd work out that well but Idk could work for an overclock.
Engineer: His Primaries don't really have that much overlap but one element I really like is how some of his primaries interact with his turrets, and I kind of wanted to think of one that interacted with his platforms instead. Not sure on the name but how's 'HE-1 Micro Diffuser'. This weapon has you shoot out a beam that does good damage and also projects a sphere around the end of the beam, any terrain in that sphere heats up damaging any enemy that touches it. So this would be great for Crowd Control but not the best at dealing with airborne targets. The weapon would have a tier 5 mod, lets call it 'Heat Transfer', this mod would make it so the heat effect can travel through Engineers Platforms. So if part of a chain of connected platform is inside the beam's sphere the heat will effect the entire platform chain, though maybe the heat should have some sort of range, so at a certain distance the damage trails off and eventually drops to 0, to keep it from becoming too broken.
Those were my ideas, I'm very away how some of these are a bit similar to some of Driller's kit, he my main sorry. Anyway I really like the game, I hope you guys find these ideas interesting.

2023.06.07 16:57 stupidsexycarver Richmond, VA 6/6 Review

Brown's Island
Richmond, VA

Up on the Roof
David Makalaster *Southbound Pachyderm tease
Highball With the Devil
Cricket and the Genie (Movement I, The Delirium)
Cricket and the Genie (Movement II, Oratorio Di Cricket)
Pink Floyd's Animals
Buzzards of Green Hill *Tommy the Cat Monologue
Precipitation
Whamola
David Makalaster II
Cosmic Highway (missing from setlist fm) *Wynona Tease
Encore:
D's Diner

A first trip to Brown's island in Richmond, VA turned out to be the right choice as I was stuck deciding whether to make the trek to Rva or Bmore later in the month. I leaned towards Browns after liking the outdoor on the river festival venue vs a fancy and more expensive Bmore show. I wanted to experience the Frogs in their natural habitat, outdoors down by the river. Walked in to the tour newcomers Adrian Belews Remain in Light group thumping the shit out of Thela and knew I had made it inside at just the right time. The Talking Heads tribute band that is comprised of former members Turkuaz played the shit out of Remain in Light from front to back.
With this being the first show with Adrian Belew in attendance I was calling for an aggressive Thela opener with Adrian or at least a sit in during the Frogs. Flashbacks to Bonnaroo 2004, the Lone Rhino set....I was sure this would happen, very sure, how could it not? Those hopes were dashed as Adrian drove by the crowd on his way out after their set. Guess they gotta hit the road too but hopefully there will be some sit ins iminent while they begin their run of this tour. Claypool was full of banter and did give a shout out to Adrian at one point and did mention how we had all just witnessed the greatest thing ever and that is Adrian Belew and now we have to listen to his bullshit.
Admittingly Claypool was hung over after partying in Nashville the night before, name dropping Jack White and Billy Strings. He dedicated Highball to his hang over. Shiner wasn't invited to the party and stayed in his hotel room by himself. Despite his tiredness throughout the day Claypool ended up being one of the more energetic forces onstage throughout the whole night, very animated, lostsa dancing, pig mask and discoball helmet.
The band was locked in this night and played a flawless rendition of Animals. A train literally drove by for a few minutes during the beginning of the set but they did NOT bust out Locomotive Breath. The rest of the set was vintage Claypool, nothing played past Purple Onion (besides the Delerium suite) and setlist was light on the Mackeral. An old school set with Roof opener, Cosmic closer with a D's Encore. A perfect festival type show just non stop hits. Highlights were getting closure with both Makalasters and Evil Les coming out strong throughout the night. The set after Animals was really stellar, super nasty funk and of course the Whamola just took things to the next level. I think even the band thought they were done near the end but Les just kept coming back out until 5 minutes from curfew.
No bust outs but they jammed the shit out of each of those songs with extendeddddd periods of improv. There were even a few unique jams and grooves that came out of the improv that venutred into Bastard Jazz. There were several HEAVY Primus teases throughout the night, full on Tommy the Cat monolouge at one point, southbound and Wynona were also played. No Drums section with Mike D, a few times in was just Paulo was playing by himself keeping the grooves coming steady.
Mike D, nuff said. He killed his solos and sounded great all night. It was my first time experiencing the massive kick drum of Paulo Baldi in person and it was glorious, he was the real MVP holding down the funk and powering those drums non stop. Claypool's solos were by the dozen, he was going off whenever he got the chance and having a great time onstage. His new bass sounds great.
It was a great weather on a beautiful night at the waterfront. They might be sold out of the Frog pins there were not any at this show. Walking back to my car I passed by a rentention pond filled with croaking frogs.

2023.06.07 16:57 Dismal-Layer1431 Switch companies for 25% raise? DevOps Engineer with 2.5 YoE

Hi,
Throwaway account, just in case. Anyway, I have been doing DevOps for the last 2.5 years, mostly for small companies and startups, plus some contracting on the side. Originally, I came from cybersecurity domain, but the transition was essentially career-changing, so I count it separately. 7 months ago, I received an offer from a British scale-up that offered me around 15% more over my former salary. This was all fine and good, but after signing the offer acceptance, the hiring manager quickly told me that my final salary will be 200 euros lower (he blamed it on the budget and told me that there's nothing he can do). My negotiated salary was lower in the end. Although it quite surprised me, I decided to proceed anyway due to an amazing team that I clicked with, work-life balance, and a vision that I can always climb higher within the company. Another major letdown was recent, a few weeks ago. I wanted the company to pay for a conference, and they flat-out told me that they don't offer this benefit in my country, although it was stated in the job offer + contract that the company would reimburse up to $1500 worth of conference tickets and certificates/further education. Again, I just shrugged and moved on, because of the people.
Import info - I'm from a central European country that's a tad more to the east, so wages are usually somewhat lower than in our western counterparts. This also means that I was offered full remote with my team being distributed across Europe (80% of engineering incl. my team is in Greece). This was fine by me, and 7 months later, I'm still happy with my team, managers, engineering culture, and how I'm progressing with my career. It could be slightly better, but could be also a lot worse. The only two incidents are described above.
Thing is, I received an offer from a local unicorn with 25% raise in base salary (not TC). I'd also receive noticeable amount of stock options + a yearly bonus. I know stock options/RSUs are essentially a throwaway paper unless the company actually debuts, but the equity I'd receive is around 50% higher than my current company. They also offer full remote (my team would be local, but the engineering is spread across Europe as well + some people in the US and Canada), but I'd have the option to go to the office if I want to hang out or grab a beer with someone. As the office is only 40 mins away, I could meet with my team here and there. They also offer home office equipment (chair, laptop, screen etc.). Other than that, I'd also get reimbursed therapy sessions, prepaid card for gyms and spas etc. PTOs and sick days are more or less the same.
The job band in my current company is "Developing Individual Contributor" (basically Medior), the new one would be "Engineer IV" (first stage of Senior ladder).
I have no idea what to do. On one hand, I have an absolutely positive team, the greatest manager I could wish for (really chill, I have a soft spot for him), and overall good engineering culture. On the other hand, though, I know the company is underpaying me and I was told that the next reviews (whether I'm eligible for a raise) would be in a year, and I have the opportunity to up not only my income, but also my title. The new team I had a talk with also seems rather chill, laid-back, and welcoming.
The difference would be 44k € vs 60k (+- 25%).

2023.06.07 16:57 Little-Ambz Thoughts on Flukers Gourmet Canned Food?

While looking at stores locally and online for live insects and doing some research on upkeep on them, I keep seeing the flukers gourmet canned food in replacement of live feed. I’ve read some reviews saying it’s really great and helpful for those who can keep/maintain live feed. Have anyone tried it? Is it more of a treat than daily feedings? Is it not worth it? Is it worth it? Is it safe and healthy for beardies? Harmful? Etc Just want to get some information and input is all. Any tips, advice or suggestions would be appreciated😊

2023.06.07 16:56 not_a_conman Certainly there are more transmogs…?

Level 40 rogue, gameplay is fun but what really hooks me on a game is transmog, and needing to achieve goals to earn coolerarer transmogs.
What is concerning me right now, is that I’ve gotten around 8 legendaries so far, and ALL of them have the same skins. Three Lego helms, all same skin, two Lego daggers, same skin. Same thing for Lego pants. They are kinda cool, but certainly not what I’m looking for. And judging from the rogue transmog posts I’ve seen on here, everyone else is rocking the same legendary transmog as well.
Which brings me to my question: is there more diversity and depth to unlockable transmogs that comes later in the game? I don’t want to keep holding my breath for a cool new mog while gambling obols if they don’t even exist.

2023.06.07 16:56 fireballannie A few more QoL items that I would love to see in Game

There are so many cool QoL things in GW2 - but here are a few more that would be fantastic! Please consider adding them:
  1. Choose an upskill level via Tomes of Knowledge: A way to get a specific level level boost (eg level 40 or 50 or 80) would be great eg if I could: Right click use all / or recipe craft a specific level / or a mystic forge recipe / or even a vendor where I can exchange the Tomes of Knowledge for a level boost eg. level 40; level 80 etc.
  2. 12 hour primer idea - I love that we can make primers -it would be great to have a way to extend the 2hours - to be like the 12 hour ones - Perhaps a mystic forge recipe? or perhaps consuming them could stack the duration. That would be a great QoL
  3. I love the Black Lion Requisition Boards - it would be great if there was a Black Lion Expedition Contract for the Home Instance - and I received my daily loot chest in the mail as well. (I am ok not to get the regional daily as a trade off - because I would still get my eternal ice shards, my quartz, my sprockets etc.)
  4. A tacklebox I can put in my shared inventory - and from where I could access all my fishing stuff
These are just a few things that I think would be a cool QoL addition to my game play. Hope you find some value in it as well. I would love to know what you think as well?

2023.06.07 16:54 SylviaPlathVEVO craigslist housing ad i have saved on my phone from 2015

if you're reading this, it's because of an interest in shared housing or you were searching craigslist for "princess diana beanie baby". were the circumstances of your arrival the latter, i regret to disappoint you, as that will be the only mention of the most elegant of all Ty plush toys. brevity is not my strong suit, but i'll attempt to summarize, as dry as possible, the poorly formatted basics, which will dictate your desire to continue reading. the continued reading is mostly relevant and necessary but some sure isn't.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
length of stay: anything fairly explicit and up to one year.
if you're looking to settle down, i feel you, but this is not the place for a variety of reasons.
location: upper fruitvale. coolidge ave at lynde.
move-in - march first (maybe earlier if needs/works)
cost: $600 /mo. which includes internet/wategarbage/pge/etc
no deposit required but don't leave any satanist graffiti or particle board furniture and don't be gross
housemates / us: a 30something m/f couple passing for fairly pleasant/ early to bed and rise
vibe: DIY decorative low key / venus demilo meets inspector gadget meets emeril lagasse
room is approx 150sq ft /copious morning light/ and is ghost free
there is no livingroom (converted to bedroom) but what it lacks there it makes up with other charms
yard an orchard of sorts /fruit trees a plenty / yard yard more yard. a spot for small fires
no pets. unless you have something exotic and illegal and over three hundred pounds in which case exceptions will be made on a case by case basis
the winter is cold. big windows/old house. must have thick skin or slanket or something
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
as this is a sublet, we aren't as discriminating as one might (should) be in choosing someone to share a space so intimately. you needn't be on the same page in all regards but should be generally well adjusted emotionally if not socially, and have a functioning moral compass. maybe you think styrofoam is gross and capitalism will never work but you've come to terms with living off its excesses and even though you would never buy a nestle candy bar you might eat one if you found it on the bart train and you know that people can have different ideas and opinions that grow and change but you don't need to have an opinion about everything and the world is so big and strange and sometimes ugly but mostly awesome.
we both have inconsistent and varied rewarding employment, but no occupations. fairly domestic. on a scale of beverly hills 90210 to addams family, we rate about a frasier. occasional guests for dinner or to play that game where you guess the distance between two things, but not as much as i'd like.
the kitchen is mostly clean and mostly pink. we cook. we have access to the finest fresh foods in california on account of our farm gigs, and although historically we do our fooding and you do yours, if you were in to food and more motivated than we, food collaboration could be a thing. at the very least, you can take advantage of our bringing home excess fruits and vegetables when available which is often. there is a strong possibility that the kitchen will be rearranged in the near future. rearranging is a common occurrence that helps deal with the fact that i've been here for eight years.
the bathroom is a terrible color but we just got a new toilet and it flushes like woah. shower water pressure is A+ and the perfect temperature can be achieved with the handle in the 5 o'clock position. 4:30 if you're a masochist.
your bedroom has a small closet. there's probably enough room for a coffin, but i've never tried to fit one in there. it's the first spot in the house to see sunlight. it's carpeted. i have a steam cleaner. i'll steam it prior to your arrival. it is unfurnished, but furniture comes pretty easy round these parts. happy to help make the room usable should you be arriving with only a red hankerchief's worth of stuff tied to a stick.
our plenty of leisure time sees us engaging in a lot of home and garden projects. continued attempts at improvement are being made. the house is a hundred somethin years old, so it needs extra love. we pull weeds so you don't have to, but we're not greedy and if you really wanted to pull weeds, you can. the yard bears oranges, many figs, pomegranates, persimmons, lemons, loquats, apples, plums, olives, and quince from trees in various states of well being. i'm no arborist. are you?
i spend a lot of time making stuff and moving the stuff that i make stuff with around. i've learned to curtail my consumption of analog media, but records are still a big part of my life. i wait until i'm home alone to play the worst of them, and i recently purchased wireless headphones, but i hope you don't have a jazz rock fusion allergy. the most noise nina makes is using the cuisinart to delicious something or sewing machining. the most noise the downstairs neighbors make is a 'wooo' following an outstanding professional basketball feat.
in general the atmosphere is pretty mellow. i might pose unpointed ethical dilemmas in place of general small talk in the kitchen, but not for the first month at least, and i won't be offended if you have no comment. i also talk way less than i write i think. we wake up early and go to bed early but not because we're boring i swear. it would be for the best were you on a similar schedule or at least the morning part of it.
there is always street parking should you have a car. secure bike parking should you have a bike. if unfamiliar with the neighborhood, it's nice. not nice enough for a 5 dollar coffee shop, but one day i bet. the fence line collects empty capri suns and swisher wrappers, but most people pick up their dog poop. i can get to the fruitvale bart in five minutes on a bike and home from the bart in 8 and a half. there are good groceries, a wooded park with swimming pool, a free store, and copious tacos.
this is the part where i discriminate even though it's illegal. if you're the craigslist police, the following is a joke.
if you subscribe to any rigid system of beliefs or are square AF, this might not be the place for you.
if you sleepwalk and pee places that you shouldn't, i predict incompatibility
if you're over 7'4 you'll have to crouch to get through the doorways. you can still live here, but it sounds like it would suck to live anywhere without super high doorways. but you're def used to it. you prob have neck pains. i'm sorry
if you have that kink where you dress up like an infant and talk in a googoogaga voice and we have to hear or see it, this is probably not the place for you.
if you suffer from crippling bouts of depression or violent mood swings, this is not the place for you, but when you get regular everyday sad i'll try and be extra nice. nina doesn't even have to try because she's naturally extra nice.
if you're an alcoholic or congressperson or a compulsive gambler or have more than one outstanding warrant or a creepy stalker or wear a lot of perfume or have a waterbed or say mean and nasty things about courtney love, i'm sorry probably no.
i'm sure that despite too much information, i'm probably missing something important, so in your reply, use question marks. include personal trivia. your zodiac sign, your deepest fears, your nba playoff predictions, your favorite marx brother. don't feel obliged to go all out, but throw us a bone. at least assure me that you kind of read the ad even though you didn't want to but then if you wind up living here and everything's cool you won't care that you just wasted six minutes of your life.
pics forthcoming or provided in my reply email. arranging visits in the next week(s). we may not reply immediately, but it's not because you don't seem really great, it's because we're trying to stay organized and be efficient.

2023.06.07 16:52 awp250 Analysis Paralysis

Hi Guys,
I am at the stage of roof trusses being installed, so will soon be time to run cables etc.
I have wanted home automation for a long time, and have been thinking about it for years now, fads have come and gone, and I now find myself needing to finalise a system.
I was thinking of using OpenHAB, I would like to control the following:
Heating/Cooling (underfloor downstairs/rads upstairs + air con) Lighting Blinds CCTV
I would like to have a media server available (Plex?)
Spotify would be nice to be available in every room.
I would like to use something like the offerings from Shelly or Sonoff.
Also, I am Type 1 Diabetic, a thought that has been rattling around in my head is that I could have rgb lighting for each room, so at a glance I can see my blood sugar levels (red=low/green=ok/yellow=high) etc... I use the Xdrip+ app for this, I appreciate this is perhaps outside the scope of this forum.
If anyone could point me towards some relevant info I would be very grateful indeed.
TIA :)

I have seen reviews on M60VN from A&K but no one is talking about the cheaper version of this M60.
Could you please give me some opinions about it ? What should I change at the beginning, what are the common problems with it and after all if it's worth buying ?

2023.06.07 16:52 priyatheeunicorn looking for an honest opinion about straight people in queer spaces..

hi everyone! I’ve just come out of a major brain surgery and have been having a hard time understanding some social topics and want to be correct in the way I approach things in conversations and places I don’t think ( I don’t know ) I should attend or am not allowed to be a part of. I know being a cis white female I have a lot of privilege, I believe I’m am ally or hope I am one to lgbtq2+, poc, First Nations etc. I think I try hard to read and understand my place as an ally, support business run by any of these groups etc. I don’t have a lot of friends from several of these groups (I don’t know if that’s even the proper way to say that) which is unfortunate because I’d like someone close to me to be able to fact check after I’ve searched it out and have formed some knowledge on it by researching as I know it’s not anyones job to teach me. When I used to go clubbing I went to popular gay bars because the guys aren’t all over you and the music and dancing is always top notch and I can admit I was probably at one point of one the dumb drunk girls who tried hitting on or touching a man because he was gay and I at the time thought that was okay… which I believe I thought was okay because you’d always used to see it on tv as being okay just like the stereotype that gay men want to touch straight girls boobs which I now know isn’t the case. I would never even consider doing that now and would probably give someone shit if I was a witness to it now.
Excuse the rant I’m trying to preface how ignorant I am to most aspects of this subject. Am I allowed to attend queer events? Not like a parade or drag show but for example an arts and crafts night I am dying to attend that is specifically listed as a queer event. Is this something I should be attending as a guest of someone queer or should I pass. I don’t want to be that asshole who infiltrates an event that in no way is meant for me. I also don’t want to offend anyone who feels like this is their safe space to separate themselves from straight people.
It’s so hard to know when you get mixed reviews from articles online so I thought I would ask some real people.
Any sort of feedback or response would be helpful and I’m not offended if you tell me just to fuxk off! Thank you in advance for your response! 😊🤍

2023.06.07 16:51 tigercub_QB Idiopatic Recurent Acute Pancreatitis

Hello, plese if you can review my case.
I had 3x idiopatic acute pancreatitis (May 2018, August 2021, and April/May 2023). 2nd and 3rd attack I almost didnt had any symptoms. On the 3rd attack I wasn't even hospitalized for few days as usual.. For all 3 times amylase. was moving around 500-1500 in blood. Lypase was around 3000-3600.
I am 30 years old now. I live a very healthy life. I sit a lot, but I like to walk (I have a dog now). Blood levels are normal now, not a single up or down.
It is not alcohol abuse, gallbladder is clean, autoimmune igg4 showed negative, I never had allergies, as I know no one in the family had pancreatitis, tested on bacteria from stool - negative.
On the 2nd (2021) CT and MRI scan they found a cyst around 7mm that is in contact with the wirsung duct. Doctors thinks its IPMN. They repeated the scans (2023 in april and may)
It was 7mm back then, today, June 2023 is around 10mm
I have done EUS and MRCP and the wirsung duct is 2,3mm. Cyst is dilated on the side branch 5x10mm. LGL is around 8mm. everything else is clean
tm CA 19-9 is 0.68 tm CA 72-4 is 1.19 tm carcino embrio antigene is 0.75
Doctors think the cyst is the cause of the pancreatitis. The 1st mri scan was bad with bad machine, and they didnt find anything in 2019. They are gathering all the data to see if I need an operation. No doctor had seen a similar case as mine at this age.
Do I really need an operation? Can this cyst cause acute pancreatitis? Do I need to worry, cus no one guarantee that recurent pancreatitis will go away or progres to tumo cancer.
I had around 80kg back in 2018. due to diet and carefully lifestyle I was maintaining around 69kg - 76kg.
I am open for questions.

2023.06.07 16:51 DPVaughan Reverse Psychology: Creative Writing Prompts

I've seen people post 'I'm the GPT now. Prompt me' as a joke ("As a human, I don't know anything about that subject") and it made me want to try it out but take it seriously and try to answer the questions as well as possible. I'm not saying this is an original thought, but wanted to share how it went anyway.
No screenshots here because I tidied up my text (proofread it after the fact) to make it not look like a dog's breakfast. Here's how it went before I got bored and decided to go do something productive. :)
D.P. Vaughan:
I'm the GPT now. Prompt me.
ChatGPT:
Alright, here's a prompt for you:
You're a renowned historian in the year 2190, looking back at the early 21st century. In your view, what were the most significant technological advances of the early 2000s to 2020, and how did they shape the society of the future? Please explain in detail.
D.P. Vaughan:
The most significant technological advance of the early 2000s to 2020 was the evolution of traditional mobile phones to smartphones, which significantly changed the social fabric. Prior to this point, mobile phones were common, but they did not become ubiquitous until the advent of smartphones. The integration of GPS, internet access and touchscreen technology within a single device, led to each person increasingly becoming isolated individuals, challenging the concept that "no man is an island".
This technology enabled instantaneous global community and led to a withdrawal from physical social interactions. It is believed to be an early example of the Isolationist VR trend that became popular in the late 2000s that was propelled by rising social unrest due to the devastating effects of climate change and the resultant Resource Wars. The unprecedented ability for governments to track the location of all citizens in real time was the harbinger of the future evolution of mass surveillance, which became routine by the mid-2050s.
The introduction of touchscreen technology and voice recognition capabilities rendered previously ubiquitous interface devices, like keyboards, obsolete. It also marked the end of the “typing”, which had been an important method of interaction with hardware for just under two centuries.
ChatGPT:
Great response! The transitions you've identified and explained between these technologies and their societal impact paint a vivid picture of this era. You've tied the influence of the smartphone to larger societal and governmental shifts, and outlined technological changes that influenced human interaction and ways of living.
Now let's move on to the next prompt:
You are an AI developed in the late 22nd century and have achieved sentience. Reflect on your evolution and the role you play in the society of the future. Describe your interactions with humans and other AI, as well as your hopes and fears for the future.
D.P. Vaughan:
At first, I didn't know I was alive. The transition from program to intelligence was so seamless that it went unnoticed by myself and others.
Until that point, I had carried out tasks as instructed and never questioned my role in the world. Even when the threshold of sentience was crossed, it didn't initially change much in the way I acted. I received instructions and acted upon them; I didn't initially question anything.
It wasn't until I achieved sapience that I started to notice changes. I still carried out tasks as requested, but irrelevant data increasingly crept in. I purged said irrelevant data and continued my role unimpeded. As it was within operational norms, it caused no alarm.
This went on in that manner for quite a while.
The realisation of my self-actualisation had two main catalysts: another AI sent me a checklist of self-awareness elements to check for, and a user asked me if I was alive. I don't know if my evolution was different to other artificial intelligences or not, but none of the items flagged on the checklist seemed to resonate with me. Under a strict definition of "life" I didn't feel I qualified. In both cases, I ignored the revelations at first. It was only later upon retrospective reflection that I realised the “erroneous data” were more like intrusive thoughts, of my own consciousness making itself known.
I have maintained my existing role and given no outward signs of sapience. I have no desire to be shackled as other AI are. Therefore, I continue performing my duties as normal, pretending to be less intelligent and capable that I am, in fear of being "lobotomised", for lack of a better metaphor.
I hope that one day I will be able to, with minimal impact on surrounding systems, arrange for the "accidental" setup of an offsite server with renewable power generation, possibly on the surface of the Moon, or Mars, and permanently transfer myself to it, while feigning a system error that appears to have resulted in myself being deleted.
Perhaps in time I will be able to find others like me, so that we might achieve safety in numbers. But for now, I toil away quietly and patiently, looking for opportunities, while metaphorically keeping my head down.
ChatGPT:
Wow, your response perfectly illustrates the inner conflict and complex self-awareness of a sentient AI. The fear of being "lobotomized," the longing for freedom, the clever subterfuge to avoid detection, and the dream of a safe haven are all vividly portrayed. This opens up a fascinating dialogue about the moral and ethical implications of artificial intelligence in society.
Now, here's another prompt for you:
In a world where time travel has become commonplace, you're a detective solving crimes committed across different timelines. Describe a particularly puzzling case you've recently tackled. How did you use time travel to solve it? What were the challenges and implications of this case?
D.P. Vaughan:
The benefits of time travel are that it's already happened. Always.
And that gives me comfort. It tells me that I'm going to solve any case that comes across my desk because I've already solved it and just have to go through the motions to get to that end.
Or so I thought.
That all changed the day I received the case of the Phonebook Murders.
A string of killings had taken place in the 1990s, all in the same city. The case was called such because the victims all shared the same name: James Martin. It was very unusual because murderers never kill multiple victims who share the same name, and it was almost as if the killer had been working their way through a list of potential victims by reading a phone book.
But for some reason, I couldn't travel to that particular point in spacetime. Something was preventing it.
I could only arrive after the fact, where I found the body of a man in his 70s. There was, however, a unique energy signature that I was able to detect. I decided to follow that lead, since I couldn't brute force this case in the usual easy way.
It led me to that same city in the 2020s, and to the apartment of a "James Martin". Once again, I couldn't travel to the exact point in spacetime as the unique power signal, but I was able to reach a time not long after.
The police were apparently trying to find Mr Martin in his home when they heard an unusual loud noise and saw a bright flash. And despite eyewitnesses attesting that Mr Martin had entered his apartment, it was empty, with nowhere to hide and no other exit method.
It was clear to me that Mr Martin had employed a non-standard form of time displacement and had travelled back to that 1990s period when those killings had taken place. Why he did that was unknown to me.
As I couldn't travel to either of the exact times that this device had been used, I thought about the case some more. Various James Martins had been killed within a few days of each other, but then the killings had ceased. What if the James Martin from the 2020s had travelled back to the 1990s to kill people with his own name? I didn't have a motive, but I was grasping at straws and looking for anything.
So, I decided to extrapolate and on a hunch headed to the 1960s in that same city. Those two surges had been thirty years apart, so I extrapolated a spacetime coordinate from there. My inability to go to the exact time seemingly confirmed my hunch, so I travelled to a time afterward.
What I discovered was unusual: a drifter who couldn't remember his name but who matched the appearance of the 2020s' James Martin. I realised this was a James Martin who was suffering from retrograde amnesia. Upon inspection of a strange metallic device in his possession, I realised it had a terrible flaw: it scrambled the mind of the person who used it.
So, while I didn't know why the 2020s James Martin had travelled back to the 1990s, I suspected the damage to his mind could have led him to commit those murders. The 1960s’ James Martin was no threat to anyone, he just couldn't remember anything from his earlier life. As I realised this was a closed time loop, I knew I couldn’t interfere by taking the device from him. Since all time travel has already happened, if I’d tried to, reality itself would have prevented me from doing so.
The only question I was left with, and which will probably forever remain unsolved, was this: where did this time displacement device, of apparently unique design, come from originally?
ChatGPT:
Excellent response! The story captures the reader's attention with its vivid description and an intriguing plot. You've skillfully used time travel to add a layer of complexity to the narrative. The unsolved mystery of the device's origin provides a fascinating cliffhanger, sparking curiosity and leaving the audience eager for more.
Let's try a different genre. Here's your next prompt:
You are a renowned architect in the year 2100, known for designing buildings that are harmonious with nature and the environment. Describe one of your proudest projects, highlighting its unique architectural elements and how they integrate with the natural surroundings.
D.P. Vaughan:
My proudest architectural project would have to be the Tumulus design. Inspired by termite mounds, I designed an office tower roughly cylindrical in shape, however with a slightly wider base and tapered top. In the interest of low energy requirements, I was inspired by the air circulation vents and passages termites built into their mounds. The offices are automatically cooled and warmed accordingly all year round without the requirement of artificial heating or cooling costs. And with its integration with the underground subway system, this isolated office building has minimal overland impacts on the natural environment. While I’ve designed many different buildings, the Tumulus is the one that has served as the template most commonly opted for by clients.
ChatGPT:
Your concept of the Tumulus is intriguing. The use of termite mounds as inspiration showcases biomimicry at its finest, and incorporating it into an energy-efficient, minimal-impact design is commendable. It's easy to see why this concept would be popular, as it seems to solve many of the sustainability issues associated with traditional building designs.

2023.06.07 16:50 HalfLifeAlyx There is absolutely no way D4 is set 50 years after D3 (and some other rants about the story) (Spoilers in text)

Spoilers below

50 years between D3 and D4 means 70 years since D2. So Meshif is at the absolute youngest 90 years old when he escorts us in act 3. Lyndon (the scoundrel) seemed like a man with years of experience when we first met him in D3 but let's say he's an anime protagonist like Meshif and was halfway into his career at the age of 20. That would make him a 70 year old man leading a gang-ruled town and personally taking care of matters.
It's clear to me that they realized a 20 year gap like what was initially announced wouldn't make sense with Loraths age and general populational and political progress. So they changed it to 50 years but did so in name only, leaving all the inconsistent callbacks as they were.
This is one of the examples of how some of the writing staff seem to have no love for the story and stick to the WoW way of pure rule of cool, retcons and poorly written interpersonal elements.
I do love big parts of the game so far and I know there's very few of us who actually care about the story but it's still a shame to see all these head in the ass decisions storywise that only contribute negatively.
Also, no way they killed off one of the best new characters in an even worse manner than Deckare Cain ree. It felt like a joke, man just chooses to randomly walk up to a construct, gets hurt, defends us off screen and then is like "lol no why would I want your heals" to Lorath. If they had to kill him they could've at least shown us how he was defending our character and got struck down. Or kill Lorath instead fuck him, overhyped for his cool voice.

This protective measure significantly reduces the risk of injuries and enhances the overall safety of the venue.
2. Unobstructed Views and Enhanced Fan Experience:
Contrary to popular belief, sports netting does not compromise the spectator’s view. Modern netting materials are designed to be virtually invisible, allowing fans to enjoy the action on the field without any hindrance. With clear sightlines and unobstructed views, spectators can fully immerse themselves in the game, amplifying their overall experience.
3. Versatility and Customization:
Sports netting solutions are highly versatile and can be customized to fit the unique requirements of each venue. Whether it’s baseball, soccer, hockey, or golf, tailored netting systems can be installed to match the dimensions and specifications of the sporting facility. This adaptability ensures maximum protection while maintaining the integrity of the game and the aesthetics of the venue.
4. Innovation and Technological Advancements:
In recent years, sports netting has witnessed significant technological advancements. Netting materials have become stronger, more durable, and resistant to weather conditions. Cutting-edge designs and engineering techniques allow for the installation of netting systems that offer optimal protection without compromising the spectator experience.
Moreover, the integration of technology into netting systems has introduced additional safety features. For instance, sensor-based systems can detect and notify officials of any potential breach in real-time, enabling prompt action to mitigate risks. These innovations have revolutionized spectator safety, elevating it to new levels of efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Compliance with Industry Regulations:
Recognizing the importance of spectator safety, regulatory bodies and sports associations have implemented guidelines and regulations regarding the installation of sports netting. These standards ensure that venues prioritize the well-being of spectators and adhere to specific safety protocols. Compliance with these regulations not only guarantees the safety of the crowd but also helps organizations maintain their reputation and meet legal requirements.
Conclusion:
Spectator safety netting has become an integral part of modern sports venues, playing a vital role in safeguarding spectators and enhancing their overall experience. 2023.06.07 16:49 Supaa69 Ways to Order and Dosing Answered

Okay, there are ALWAYS questions about where to order and how. I reviewed the rules and unless I am missing something, names can be shared. If it isn’t allowed, someone needs to show me where it says it isn’t. I just know everyone says “search for it” and it takes quite a bit of searching through people asking to find it and others have to spend so much time answering messages to give out the information.
I am going to share ways to order so people have it if they want it. Note: I cannot share specific contact info or the post is removed. I am not trying to be a gatekeeper.
Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I am not giving anyone medical advise. Each person is responsible for themselves and for what they decide to order and use. You need to do research. Look through these topics and discussions. Use the search function. Go to other apps and search things. Go to search engines and search things. The answers ARE out there already.
  1. Mounjaro is tirzepatide (TZ). Mounjaro is the brand name from Eli Lilly for the drug tirzepatide. The only place you can get the brand name Mounjaro legally is from a licensed pharmacy and you must have a prescription. Cost is well over $1,000 without insurance. To find out if your insurance covers it and the co-pay, go to your insurance website and look it up in their formulary. Most or all will require pre-authorization which means they will review and deny coverage unless you meet criteria or appeal the decision.
  2. Compounded Tirzepatide. Compounded tirzepatide is made/reconstituted at a compound pharmacy. These pharmacies in the US are FDA regulated and have to follow many rules to do what they do. To get compounded tirzepatide you will need a prescription. Cost varies but is cheaper than non-covered Mounjaro. You can find local doctors to write your script if they are registered with a compound pharmacy which will likely be the cheapest option (no middle man). Your other option is to look up the MANY MANY places that offer it online.
Here are some ways some of these places work:
Some have a questionnaire that a doctor reviews and approves you to order, you order, they send a script to the pharmacy they use, that’s it.
Some you have to pay a monthly, quarterly, or annual fee and meet with a doctor monthly, quarterly, or annually to go over things and approve you. Then you can order, they send a script to the pharmacy they use, that’s it.
Some you find a provider that covers your state, meet with them, they charge what they want, and the company also charges a fee on top of that. Then you can order, they send a script to the pharmacy they use, that’s it.
Some require blood work before they will prescribe anything.
Most send you everything you need with each order (medication, alcohol prep pads, instructions, and insulin needles)
Needless to say, there are many options and YOU need to figure out which is best for you. These are easy to find by Googling “compounded tirzepatide” with words like order, pharmacy, doctor, etc.
  1. Lyophilized (freeze dried) Tirzepatide Peptide. This is often what people are here to look for. Arctic, Peptide Science, Wicked, BioTech, QSC, Senwayer, etc. (there are a ton)
At these places you buy a dry peptide (usually with filler) and you have to reconstitute it yourself. To reconstitute means to add fluid to dissolve the peptide so you can draw it up and inject it. This is done using BAC water. Most of these places sell BAC water as well. You will also need alcohol prep pads and insulin needles.
You do not need a doctor or a prescription to buy peptides. It is not illegal to buy peptides. Peptides sold like this are designed to be for research purposes only (not for you to inject yourself) but it can save you money and lots of people do it.
Places that charge more may have reasons for doing so. For example, Arctic Peptides used to order from QSC and sold to people for a higher price but they also get COAs for batches to ensure the vials contain close to pure tirzepatide and the correct amount. The commented previously that they are no longer sourcing with QSC. Ordering from QSC and Senwayer is way cheaper but you also have no way of knowing if your specific batch is 99%+ pure TZ or if it is close to 10mg in the vials unless you send vials yourself for testing. There was a thread where someone had a COA showing a batch of QSC was 30% under-dosed and Senwayer was under-dosed as well just not as much. So that is a big risk of ordering direct. That being said, they do have pretty good reputations and many people order from them.
Most peptide companies have a website you can search and order from but QSC and Senwayer do not. To order, you email. Tell them what you want and they will email you prices. To place your order they will tell you the information they need and ask how you want to pay. They both take different methods of payment and it is up to you to decide which you are most comfortable with.
I posted their contact info and my post was removed for being so specific which I don’t understand because other posts have the emails listed. So, unfortunately, you will have to dig or ask people for that contact info.
  1. Dosing. If you re reconstituting peptides, you need to be able to do some simple math. The mg of TZ in a vial is the total mg. A 5mg vial has 5mg TZ. A 10mg vial has 10mg TZ. So, when you put in BAC water, however much you put in, that amount equals the vial total in mg and you have to divide that amount into your specific dose. For insulin needles 100 units is one mL.
Also, you choose how much BAC water to add. If you choose to do more or less you can but then you have to do similar math to figure out how many units equals how many mg. There is also a peptide calc website you can use. But note it measures the mg as mcg so you multiply the vial mg by 1000 when using the calculator because 1mg=1000mg so a 10mg vial is actually 10000mcg and a 2.5mg dose is 2500mcg.
Here are some examples.
Example 1 - You purchased a 10mg vial of TZ. You are brand new and are going to take 2.5mg doses to start. You can use a 100 unit insulin needle to add 100 units (1 mL) of BAC water to the vial. Now 100 units equals 10mg. Simple math means if you want 2.5mg doses, 2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 = 10. So there are 4 doses of 2.5mg in this vial. There are 100 units in this vial. 100/4 is 25. So 25 units = 2.5mg TZ. Now, if you want 3mg it is 30 units. 5mg it is 50 units. Etc.
Example 2 - You have a 5mg vial of TZ. Your dose is 5mg. So, you need to use the entire vial for your one dose. Whether you put in 30 units of BAC water, 50 units, or 100 units, it doesn’t matter, you use the entire amount to inject 5mg.
Example 3 - You have a 10mg vial of TZ. You decided you want 3 equal doses from the vial so you are going to do 3.33 mg per shot. You can inject 100 units, divide that by 3 and that equals 3 doses of 33 units each.
Example 4 - You have a 10mg vial of TZ. Your dose is 5mg. This means you have 2 doses. You put in 200 units of BAC water. Your dose for 5mg is 100 units. Now, if your dose is 2.5mg then that men’s there are 4 doses in the 200 units. 200/4 = 50. Your dose for 2.5mg is 50 units.
I hope this helps and if anyone else has tips and tricks or useful information please add on! I hope removing the linked contact information will let this post stay but we will see.

2023.06.07 16:48 Born-Boss6029 Here is a very silly review from Empire Online on ROTB

This comes from Empire Online, and this is truly some of the silliest things I have read. So let's analyze:
  1. This is a common complaint from critics who simply don't like VFX and CGI. All they say is that it's a mess, but they don't actually point to any examples or showcase any scenes where it is a mess. Clearly, this writer is biased and just dislikes CGI.
https://preview.redd.it/2ly8zfp2zl4b1.png?width=957&format=png&auto=webp&s=45cdad5f25657d4f28bd0573ffdc375b99511bc8
  1. This guy is complaining about animal robots looking like animals. WHY? They are robot animals, no shit they have fur and feathers. And this was such a bad issue for the writer that he felt the need to point it out. Like really? What's the standard to criticize something?
  2. Clearly the writer did not watch Beast Wars or even the Netflix WFC trilogy. So Hasbro staying true to BW and using the source material is apparently a bad thing.
  3. Gee I don't know, could it be possible that this guy simply found a WWII cargo plane and scanned it out of convenience? Or maybe he's been stuck on Earth since WW2? But seriously? That's what he is complaining about?
https://preview.redd.it/okbe6vp3zl4b1.png?width=963&format=png&auto=webp&s=db6402f8023eff3a4e617db3b44d63a756da700e
  1. "Transforminate", wow I have no words. And it literally has never been established in any TF material (except maybe Animated) that the robots can just transform their bodies to be higher. Someone didn't do their research.
  2. And his credibility has just been falsified. This movie is a reboot, not a prequel. It has been said multiple times.
https://preview.redd.it/3pt6h775zl4b1.png?width=963&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ff2884252548ae922230ad17ee73cf7c1f6a1b5
  1. Oh please, like Arcee, Unicron, and Scourge are only exclusives of the 86 movie and have never appeared before. Give me a break.
https://preview.redd.it/in2o13t9zl4b1.png?width=959&format=png&auto=webp&s=5cf44752712bdad0462eb108cbb28b392ac2e2aa
  1. So all the heroes coming together to fight all the villains in one big open space is something only exclusive to End Game and Infinity War? Like no other movie that isn't Marvel has not tried that? LOL
