Hey! So I'm taking my drivers training for my class 3 license, and they want to put me in an automatic for my road test just to he sure I get it. Does anyone know whether it matters if im in a manual or an automatic? I want to make sure it's fine either way. I can drive the manual trucks, my shifting just isn't perfect yet.

My gf (24) and I (23) moved in together 5 months ago. While I am happy to see her every day, spend more time together, and grow as a couple, I have to admit that I hate living with her. I had been living alone for 1.5 years, and this is her first time being independent. I always think about that whenever I realize she's a mess, but it frustrates me a lot.
She is a mess. We live in a 1-room apartment because she moved into my place, and we're very tight on space. I'm very picky and get frustrated very easily because I have a minimalist view of space (since we don't have much). I like to have things organized, and the less stuff I see around, the greater peace of mind I have. We have talked about this a lot, and I am always the one who starts this conversation because she has "gotten used to" my pickiness and doesn't care too much. However, she always says that I'm being too exaggerated and minimizes my feelings about it.
When I lived with my family, I felt unmotivated to do anything because the house was always a mess. I became so depressed that I didn't make an effort to change it because it felt pointless. I feel the same way now. I have expressed this to her, but I always end up being the one who's wrong and must accept the way she is, even if it frustrates me a lot. She also said that it's not that I don't like her; I just don't like living with her, and I love being by myself. Maybe she is right, but I truly love her and want to be with her for a long time. However, I'm scared that the possibility of her moving away could lead to the end of our relationship.
She is the kind of person that doesn't do chores until enough time has passed and she realizes they must be done, resulting in a huge pile of dishes. Lately, I've been the one cleaning the house, cleaning the cat's litter, and keeping everything organized. Due to her job (she has 2 jobs, she's an english teacher at a school and university so she always have to plan her classes), she doesn't have much time, so whenever she gets home, she spends her time on tiktok, working, or sleeping. She only worries about her own responsibilities, and even though we share the same responsibilities for the house, cats, cooking our lunches, and doing the laundry and dishes, she only takes care of her personal tasks and addresses the rest whenever she remembers or when I ask her to do so. However, when I ask, I become a very disgusting person and don't know how to ask things nicely.
She wanted to get a new kitten, and I strongly insisted that we shouldn't because it would double the responsibilities for both of us since we already have a cat and a dog. Now, I have to take care of all the pets because she only does it when she remembers. Her justification is, "I've never had a kitten, so I never remember those things." But I have to do it anyway because those are tasks that must be done DAILY.
I don't know how to ask her once again to cooperate. We're both living in the same space and must respect each other, even in small matters. At this point, I feel it's useless and I just have to keep my mouth shut because I love her enough and will handle the situation until we move to a bigger place, so she can have her own room, and I won't have to stress about her things being all over the place. However, I'm not sure if moving will be the solution, and I don't want to end things because of this.

Hello everyone, so my iRacing career is going well. I've had two seasons in Formula Vee now and I'm a Class C driver with an iRating of 1000 even. I'm thinking of doing a season in FF1600 rookies but then I'm not sure what to do.

1. My main question concerning the FF1600 that I couldn't find anywhere else is should I warm it up on the starting grid? Warming up the Vee would get me up a couple spots on the starting straight easy. Any other FF1600 advice would be welcomed also as I plan to stay with this car for a at least two seasons going to iR-04.
   
2. Also, Is it feasible to stay in FF1600 and earn store credit before moving to iR-04? Is there a lot of overlap in the tracks used between the FF1600 D series? Or, should I just do a couple rookie seasons in FF1600 and go right to iR-04 and start spending money?
   
3. I have a Logitech G29 with but I'm thinking of upgrading my pedals to help me be more consistent. I really enjoy sim racing and I would like to something that will last me a long time and increase my immersion and enjoyably. I would like to spend somewhere around $500 but I can save a little more if, let's say, the $700 sets would blow the $500 options out of the water? I will also use these pedals for BeamNG, Wreckfest, and DiRT Rally 2.0. But I play iRacing the most.

For the record Uber frustrates me on levels just as much as anyone else but I'd be completely lying if I said I haven't had good success in my market this year. Why do people insist that we all live by the same standards, same bills, & that this job is not sustainable for anyone? We all work in different markets which could be worse or better. I'm legit wondering if the bashing and convincing drivers to quit is some people's way of trying to have less drivers on the road like how it use to be in the best uber days years ago🤔

I know that Season 4 is widely regarded as one of the best Boy Meets World seasons.
However, I am in the small camp of believing that it's actually one of the worst seasons.
I'm not trolling here, as I respect differing opinions and accept that it's a popular season.
However, I wanted to list my reasons for why I think it's extremely overrated:
1 - They completely bury Mr. Turner in the series storyline - ATQ only appears in 5 episodes - they also never explain what happened Eli - Alex Désert is gone without a trace
2 - Alan Matthews quits his job and career to work at a wilderness compost (with 3 kids) ???
3 - Long Walk to Pittsburgh makes no sense to me - I don't understand why Topanga goes to such lengths to be with Cory when they don't even seem compatible at this point - and why Mr. Feeny suddenly views them as Romeo and Juliet - This is when their relationship gets super unrealistic in my opinion - I also don't like the nature of their relationship at this point - it feels unhealthy
sidenote: no way the OG Jediedia is as much of a tool as her off-screen father is portrayed in this storyline
4- The Virna Hunter storyline does not resolve anything - it only adds more confusion - She shows up for three episodes and then vanishes, and they never explain why she left again (or even that she did)
5- Chet becomes the school janitor for one episode and then is just not a janitor anymore --- no resolution?
6 - Cory slow driving on the freeway after getting his license - umm, what? - runs into the dad from the Wonder Years, who is a judge for a speed trap zone?? -- yeah I'm good on these meta storylines
7 - The entire Quiz Show episode
8 - Cult Fiction is a legendary episode, - but retroactively, it does nothing for the overall storyline since Shawn never even mentions Mr. Turner again
I thought there were still some great moments in the season, particularly B & B's B'n B, the B storyline of Fishing for Virna, and all the stuff with Frankie, Vader, and Herman, but overall I find it extremely overrated.

I've been an L3 for 6 months. They put me in the position with no training. I hadn't even been on runouts for months. I was in inbound when I was an L1 at this building.
I'm considering leaving Amazon after they pay my next semester's career choice payment for a forklift or hostler position. Even other warehouses pay better. There's $25+ an hour jobs here as basically L1s in those companies. I will be making $19.30 the end of this month with Amazon.
I was a trucker for several years and own my own company. I have an associate degree and will be done with my bachelor's this year (although it's liberal studies in computer science). I don't know if Amazon will give me the promotion I seek in January. I'm also forklift certified and was a PIT driver for a few months at another site. I can drive a truck but nobody will hire me because of a situation I had a few years ago. I have to wait until 2025 for it to get cleared up.
I'd like to apply to be a TAM or an analyst of some sort, maybe in their logistics department. All L4 spots that don't require specific college majors. AMs don't, either, but it's preferable.
The other thing is about my current spot. I've learned on the job. I have 14 months total Amazon tenure and I've been an L3 for 6 months already. I have worked 3 peaks, however. They literally put me on the line and gave me some websites to use. No KNETs, no tour, no nothing. Just learn as I go. I'm now the only supervisor on the line. They'll have 5 or 6 on the OB dock and I usually don't even have leads with me. They're ok with it, though.
It's a lot of work. I go line to line every night, then do headcount and labor track, then VTO everyone, then CPT chase and often act as a waterspider myself, then take lunch, then do the same thing again for the next shift. 11 1/2 hour shifts.

Hola, so I’m about to graduate in December. I would like to get a job in commercial banking, good WLB for decent pay etc. Anyways.
So I’ve never had an internship.
First, I have a family business that I’ve been helping run through college, and my parents couldn’t really afford to lose me.
Second, I was at a community college that had no finance classes, so I majored in Business Administration, and got a 3.93 GPA, but never got any responses to finance internships, I’m assuming because of being at a CC and having not finance classes?
Then I transferred to a “non-target but respectable” school (i saw a school ranking on WSO 😂), but I had to take a bunch of pre reqs before I could take any finance classes. So again I went into the summer with no finance classes. Then I shoved all my finance classes in the last 2 semesters, and my final 2 classes for my final semester.
However, when I finally got to these finance classes I had all the credits of a senior, and all the internships want sophomore’s and juniors.
So I’m in a weird spot. I know Commercial Banking isn’t necessarily super competitive but it’s becoming more so. So I’m stressing about finding a job after graduation when I have no internship experience.

I work Amazon flex as a private contractor delivery driver. I am trying to come up an amount per mile that I can use to estimate how much it costs per mile to physically operate my car(not including insurance because I need that regardless of the job).
I found a figure from AAA that estimates $0.10 cents per mile for new cars for maintenance and repairs. But I would assume it would be much higher for a used car(I have 2010 Honda Insight with 70k miles). So, I am wondering if anyone knows a way to do a good estimate for maintenance and repairs.
Then I have to factor in depreciation. Once again I struggle coming up with an estimate. I am guessing just doing some basic math it would be around $0.06 a mile, using 18,000 miles a year or so.
So, my current estimate is $0.16/mile for all costs associate with the car, except for gas and insurance. Does this seem about right? Or does it seem way off? Considering if I move it up or down by even one penny, it significantly affects my wage per hour, I want to at least make sure I am close.
In the end, considering my work is so fluid and changing in terms of how much I get paid, I really need to make sure it is actually worth doing certain delivery blocks by calculating this all out, and I don’t want to find out in 6 months that I have effectively been working for like $8/hour when I factor in my costs.

I just started a very important management job (i’m just out of uni) and I am on the verge of tears every time anyone simply points out flaws in my work. I don’t get hurt tbh but I’m an easy crier, tears just come at the slightest discomfort. It was fine if I cried in classes or at home but now at office it’s obviously not okay. Please help, I need serious suggestions that work.

I graduated and currently hold an accredited B.Arch degree here in the United States, and have been working full time at a mid-size firm for the past year.
I am really interested in 3D graphics, art, and modelling; and don't really see myself staying in the architecture field. Would an arch-viz job (I've interviewed and have received offers from a few places that are still open) be a good way to learn the skills that could set me down that path? From a glance, it seems like it could be - but I'd like to hear the thoughts of more experienced people?

First of all apologies if some of the questions here are very dumb, I've tried chatgpt and the web but when compared to talking to people who actually went to australia, their answers differs greatly from the information online. It is either that or I can't find any information with the keywords I used. Hence I think it would be more accurate to ask an australian:

There's a checkbox while filling up the form for the working holiday visa "During their proposed visit to Australia, does any applicant expect to incur medical costs, or require treatment or medical follow up for: blood disorder cancer heart disease hepatitis B or C and/or liver disease HIV infection, including AIDS kidney disease, including dialysis mental illness pregnancy respiratory disease that has required hospital admission or oxygen therapy other?", would checking the box for mental illness meant lesser chances of getting my visa?
3. I have hypersensitivity to noises because of trauma that stemmed from my upstair's neighbour consistent stomping, dragging of furnitures, door slamming, hammering, etc. Because of them, I have became a light sleeper that would wake up even at a crinkle of a plastic bag. What type of accomodation would be suitable for me whilst I'm here for my working holiday?

Not here to stir fires, if you are answering anything please support with facts and links. All of these I've heard personally one way or the other.

1. The libs bullies the middle class, raise their taxes but give them zero monetary benefits. The middle class becomes "too rich" for any benefits while still being too poor to make a living.
2. The libs connive criminals, drug addicts. They want to legalize cocaine and meth and give free needles to the addicts, and these addicts go on to do more crimes on regular law obeying citizens.
3. The libs are reckless spenders, keep giving money to the criminals and poor people who are just poor because they are lazy and don't want to work. They just keep giving them free money, and please don't talk to me about "you won't get unemployment if you don't actively look for jobs" because the bar for qualification for "job hunting" is so low. They are just using your taxes to support the lazy people.
4. The libs want equal outcome and not equal opportunity. People of color have an easier time getting into colleges, taking seats away from poor students of other races with good grades noticeably Asian students. People of color have an easier time getting jobs if they are competing with other races because so many companies are required to meet the racial quotas.

Preface : Im not suggesting this to be the best training method. I specifically did this because I HATED memorizing and learning openings, but LOVE puzzles. THE 100% BEST LEARNING STRATEGY : Do what you enjoy, and avoid what you dislike. Otherwise...it will feel like a job and you will burn out.
Nobody at 1300 really knows how to CONSISTENTLY take advantage of space or color weaknesses. They may study openings that help them understand certain structures though.
I promise if you just start games by pushing all 4 a,b,g, and h pawns 1 square 4 moves in a row, your rating will actually go up at that level. IM NOT SUGGESTING YOU DO IT unless you are just curious.
The reason being you immediately take away any advantage involved from memorizing patterns and openings. The entire game becomes about tactics/skill.
I reached 2,047 (Lichess) doing this and practicing ONLY tactics, and watching some videos on middle game and endgame concepts as I find them interesting. Secret Life of Pawns YT videos are amazing for example.
Around this level, too many players can take advantage of space or the weaknesses created by pushing pawns/not developing, and now you're at a big disadvantage if you don't play sound openings, or have insane tactics/positional/middle/end game knowledge. This means if you want to become a master...maybe it's a terrible strategy as you will hit a brick wall if you have zero opening theory.
