Get the Booty You Want with Coach Pow
My guest is Emanuel Parris aka Coach Pow. He’s a fitness expert with an impressive athletic background. Firstly, he was a 2008 Canadian Olympian sprinter. Not to mention a 2006 Commonwealth Games Bronze Medalist.

2023.06.06 10:39 mrblinky112 Solo travel Mexico

I (30m) am planning on travel Mexico for three weeks (decembejanuary). Since I'm starting from Vienna, Austria, i most likely will book my flights Vienna-Mexico City and Cancun-Vienna.
My itinerary would be smth like: CDMX 4-5 days (bus to Puebla) Puebla 2 days (bus to Oaxaca) Oaxaca 4 days (bus to san cristobal) San Cristobal de las casas 3 days (flight to cancun) Playa del Carmen 5-6 days (day trips tulum, valladolid cenotes, etc)
Since I'm not a big fan of hostel dorms I'm gonna book hotels or private rooms in hostels. Planning on joining guided day tours to meet people.
Any tips or recommendations of changes in my itinerary?

On track to deliver the US with its own domestic supply of potash, a vital component of fertilizer due to its ability to boost crop yields, Sage Potash's (SGPTF SAGE.v) Plains Project is the largest potash deposit in the US that is close to pilot production and has the potential to be a Tier 1 deposit.
https://preview.redd.it/vxke1cayx94b1.png?width=2498&format=png&auto=webp&s=0bbcabd7b88886263ee3bff0965371da5070b147
Consisting of over 88,000 acres of mineral leases and permit applications in Utah's Paradox Basin, known to host extensive underdeveloped world-class potash resources, the value of the project's inferred 279.5million ton potash resource is equal to over $18 billion at the current pricing of $645/ton.
Now trading on the OTCMKTS with the ticker SGPTF, SAGE has a PEA for its Plains Project expected in the second half of 2023 with pilot production to follow in 1-2 years. The project is expected to initially produce 50,000 tonnes per year followed by a scaling up to 150,000 tonnes per year for 20 years.
As the US currently imports 94% of its potash requirements from Canada, this is a significant market opportunity for SAGE as they are positioned to satisfy a large portion of the US potash demands.

2023.06.05 23:15 Joadzilla Newsom threatens kidnapping charges after Florida dumps migrants at church

Governor tweets ‘You small, pathetic man … Kidnapping charges?’, directed at DeSantis after migrants left outside Sacramento church
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/jun/05/california-florida-migrants-sacramento
California’s Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom, on Monday branded his rightwing Republican Florida counterpart, Ron DeSantis, a “small, pathetic man”, and appeared to threaten kidnapping charges for an episode in which a group of migrants was dumped at a Sacramento church.
Rob Bonta, California’s attorney general, said in a statement that 16 South Americans abandoned outside the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento on Friday were “in possession of documentation purporting to be from the state of Florida”, and may have been duped into boarding charter flights via New Mexico after entering the US in Texas.
The episode has parallels to what critics called a similar “soulless” stunt orchestrated by DeSantis last year in which his administration abandoned several dozen mostly Venezuelan migrants in Martha’s Vineyard.
Newsom, in a tweet posted Monday lunchtime directed at DeSantis, said: “You small, pathetic man. This isn’t Martha’s Vineyard. Kidnapping charges?” and linked to a section of California’s penal code stating anybody who “abducts or takes by force or fraud” a person found within the state “is guilty of kidnapping”.
Bonta, meanwhile, also said Florida was guilty of “state-sanctioned kidnapping” if it was found to be behind the flights, which the documents reportedly show were operated by the Vertol Systems Co, the same contractor hired last year by Florida’s department of emergency management to move migrants from Texas to Massachusetts for $1.6m.
“While we continue to collect evidence, I want to say this very clearly: state-sanctioned kidnapping is not a public policy choice, it is immoral and disgusting,” Bonta said in the statement, adding that he was “evaluating” whether violations of civil or criminal law had taken place.
Lawyers for the migrants caught up in DeSantis’s stunt last September were on the ground in Sacramento on Monday, and say the circumstances are nearly identical, with the group having been promised accommodation, jobs and clothing that never materialized, and with no advance notice to social services.
“We’re trying to establish what exactly they were told when they boarded the flights,” said Oren Sellstrom, litigation director of Boston-based Lawyers for Civil Rights.
“There are a number of needs people have when they’re abandoned like this, food and shelter, but also legal assistance, and there needs to be immediate legal action to ensure their federal immigration proceedings are not compromised by this political stunt.
This kind of conduct is reprehensible, morally repugnant and also illegal. To the extent the individuals flown to California had the same kind of fraud and misrepresentation visited upon them that we saw with our Martha’s Vineyard clients, we fully intend to hold Governor DeSantis and his co-conspirators accountable in a court of law.”
The community group Sacramento area congregations together (ACT) has been assisting the migrants, who are mostly Colombian and Venezuelan, with immediate needs. Cecilia Flores, spokesperson for ACT, said the group was taken to the church by bus and dumped there.
“They started out, ‘What city is this? What state are we in?’” Flores told CNN.
“According to them, they they got off of the bus, the person who was driving rang the doorbell of the building and told them they would be right back, and the bus pulled away and never came back.
“One of the migrants attempted to reach them because they did have a contact number. They said that the person told them they’ll be right there to get you, never specifying who was coming to get them. They continued to try to reach this person [but] their cellphone no longer was working.”
The allegation of deceit mirrors that of the Martha’s Vineyard episode, in which a former US army medic, Perla Huerta, was allegedly hired to lure migrants onto planes in Texas chartered by the DeSantis administration to protest Joe Biden’s immigration policies.
According to several of the migrants, Huerta showed up at a McDonald’s in San Antonio, offering gift cards and promising shelter and jobs in Boston, before the group was dumped without notice in the affluent community.
Lawyers for the migrants subsequently filed a lawsuit.
Rightwinger DeSantis, the leading challenger to Donald Trump for the Republican 2024 presidential nomination, has ramped up his anti-immigrant rhetoric in recent months, and earlier this year persuaded the Florida legislature to approve an expansion to his “unauthorized alien transport program” to Democrat-led cities and states.
Supporters have lauded the program, some selling souvenirs such as T-shirts, drinks glasses and car decals bearing the mocking maxim “DeSantis Airlines: Bringing the border to you”.
DeSantis’s media team did not respond to a request from the Guardian for comment.
Newsom’s tweet on Monday is not the first time the rising Democratic star has niggled DeSantis. Last July, while running for re-election, Newsom aired television ads in Florida urging residents to stand up to DeSantis’s attacks on freedom or consider moving to California.
Their feud reignited in April when Newson decried efforts to reshape Florida’s higher education system into a more conservative model, accusing DeSantis during a visit to his state of “weakness masquerading as strength across the board”.

2023.06.04 22:45 dariemf1998 Would you consider Latin America to be part of "the West"?

Would you consider Latin America to be part of
There's some controversy (usually US people and some Europeans) who say Latin America doesn't belong to "the West". However, here in Latin America pretty much everyone thinks abou this region as part of the "West" and we refer as such (Occidentales = Westerners). The arguments are:
  • Unlike African or Asian colonies, Latin American colonies were usually direct extensions of their colonial powers (Spain, Portugal and France). For example, Spanish virreinatos had their own viceroys (virreyes) that ruled over each virreinato as "secondary kings), and even some colonies in Africa and Asia were controlled from the virreinatos instead of Spain itself (The Philliphines belonged to the New Spain Virreinato, so they were usually administrated from Mexico City instead of Madrid, same with the African colonies administrated from Buenos Aires in the Virreinato del Río de la Plata).
  • We speak Romance languages (Spanish, Portuguese and French).
  • Most people here are either full European descendants or at least half European (Mestizos), although there's a lot of ethnic diversity like in the US with Asians, Africans, Arab descendants etc.
  • Latin American countries are among the world's oldest nations even compared to most European countries, and we're one of the very first republics. Our laws and governments are based on Roman law. Usually constitutional republics based on liberalism and the French revolution ideals (funnily enough, one of South America's independence fathers, Francisco de Miranda, fought directly in both the French Revolution and the American Independence War on the revolutionary side).
  • Indeed, several of Latin American independence heroes were really well known in Europe, like José de San Martín or Francisco de Paula Santander. Bolívar admired Napoleon and even went to his proclamations as Emperor and King of Italy.
José de San Martín and Bernardo O'Higgins
  • Our cultures are usually a direct extension of Spain/Portugal/France/Italy from the time. Some have Indigenous and/or African elements (specially true for Haiti or Bolivia), but the key elements are usually things from European countries like religion, music, food and, unfortunately, things like bullfighting.
  • Our food also has direct relationship to Romance countries. Chorizos, empanadas, pasta, morcilla etc.
  • The main religion is Roman Catholicism, and you can find some Protestants here and there. We usually celebrate Semana Santa like in Spain or Italy (with Penitentes that scare tf out of US people lol).
  • Our architecture is usually too similar to Europe's
This is Mexico City
What do you think? Would you consider Latin America to be part of "the West" culturally?

1' And we're off. USA in All White. Uruguay in Blue tops and Black bottoms
9' Fairly even game so far. Both teams are pushing without really making into the opposition box. Both are comfortable in possession and playing it out the back.
12' McGlynn plays a lovely through ball to Wiley who comes ever so close to squaring the ball across goal but the Uruguay defender cuts him off. Best chance for either team so far.
18' Josh Wynder goes down after a Uruguay free kick. Looks like he got sandwiched between Gaga and the Uruguay attacker. The physios are attending him.
21' GOAL URUGUAY. JUSTIN CHE GETS BEAT TWICE FIRST BY THE PASS AND THEN BY THE ATTACKER WHO SQUARES IT FOR DUARTE WHO COOLY SLOTS IT PAST GAGA INTO THE OPEN NET.
33' USA have not looked nearly as stable since the goal. They'll need halftime to fix the issues as they've unraveled slightly here.
HT Uruguay 1-0 USA. There's some positives for the US but only some. They'll need a jolt coming into the second half
46' We're back from half. FIRST SUB FOR THE US. PAREDES ON FOR WOLFF
54' DOUBLE SWITCH FOR THE USA. PUKSTAS ON FOR HALLIDAY. EDELMAN ON FOR VARGAS.
56' OOOOOOOOOOOOOOF GOAL URUGUAY. WYNDER COMES IN TO CLEAR A PRETTY TAME CROSS WITH A SLIDE BUT THE BALL RICHOCHETS INTO THE NET. VERY SAD OWN GOAL.
57' FIRST SUB FOR URUGUAY. SIRI ON FOR DUARTE.
67' Uruguay player goes down. Looks like the first of the fatigue injuries here to come
69' MORE SUBS. GARCIA ON FOR SOSA. SULLIVAN ON FOR WILEY. GOMEZ ON FOR WYNDER.
77' SOME MORE SUBS FOR URUGUAY. DE RITIS ON FOR DIAZ. HOMENCHENKO ON FOR DE LOS SANTOS.
82' FIRST YELLOW OF THE GAME. HOMENCHENKO GETS A YELLOW FOR KICKING THE BALL AWAY.
90' Looking at 8 minutes of added time.
90 +3' ANOTHER YELLOW FOR URUGUAY. DE RITIS PUTS HANDS ON THE FACE OF MCGLYNN AND RECIEVES A YELLOW FOR IT.
FT URUGUAY 2-0
