I am so disappointed with Our skyy 2 x Bad Buddy and ATOTS. Initially I was skeptical but open to the idea of the crossover but holyshit they ruined it for me.
Episode of the combined episode and we don't see Pat for a full part 1 despite it being BB week. I was like ok no issues maybe they do something meaningful in the remaining 3 parts but nothing. A few scenes reenactment which was entertaining but that's it.
Episode 2 tonight was a mess at another level. It was supposed to be a goodbye Episode especially for PatPran as the next episode is exclusive to ATOTS but no we didn't even get to see them together for more than 5 minutes combined. No kiss, no hugs, no special moments just boring sulking for whatever stupid reason thatbwas going on. It was a filer episode for tomorrow's final ig.
I know ON aren't exactly at good terms but they should atleast do their jobs. I am not angry at them alone but disappointed with the whole cast who made these episodes. I had high hopes for P'Aof but am so disappointed. BB was my first bl so I'm extremely sad it ended this way. I wished they never did the our skyy episodes.
Sorry for venting but I needed to get this out. This is not hate to Earth and Mix as they have nothing to do with how the story goes. I just feel frustrated and sad that something I held dear to me ended in a not so pleasant way.

So for awhile, my largest issue has been the lack of chemistry and group cohesion among this campaign's PCs. They each have just one person they cling to but hardly interact with each other beyond that and have all felt really walled off from each other. We're on episode 60 and it still feels like they're just getting to know each other.
Last night's 4SD finally cracked for me why that is. They were asked for a small detail about their PCs that hasn't been revealed yet and allll of them sat silent. No one wanted to reveal anything potentially spoiler-y for their character. And I realized all of them have been waiting in the campaign for their perfect moments to drop their character's lore. None of them are organically letting their characters get to know each other. It's like they're all playing poker and waiting for the others to show their hand.
In C2, I really disliked Caleb for this exact reason. In hindsight, I understand his character. But the first half of the campaign, while everyone was building rapport, he was sulking and not putting down his wall. Now the entire C3 party is like that.
For me, this explains all the other issues I've had (the group's passivity, the lack of character development, all of the external forces and almost no emotional stakes). I still think Matt's also railroading more than usual which is a separate issue. But last night's 4SD really unlocked for me that all the PCs are waiting for their perfect monologue moment or Matt reveal and I gotta say, I think it's really hurt this campaign.
I'm enjoying this current guest arc but I was checked out before the solstice and then checked out again mid-Team Wildemount. I'm hoping to stay engaged this time and honestly hoping when they all get together, they'll actually bond over this.

Being an idiot somehow I forgot to change the number when I change to new sim and it was there in the 2FA now when I am trying to reset my password to recover my account. I have to pass two steps
1- Put in Autheticator code from Athunticator app from my phone . All good there as I have th app I have the code in my phone and I can put it
2- Second step it ask for the last 4 digit of the number that I put in 2FA I remember the last 4 digit of my previous number but now its sending the code to that Sim which I don't have access to anymore as mobile phone company assign numbers to other people once the sim is not in use
What to do now? I have filled in the form and MS says its going to take 30 days :(
is there anything else I do at this point...I have this account when hotmail first started in 1994/1996 or something and its my main account tons of stuff is inthere :( super worried about it.

Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps!

As advocates for Open Source and open technologies, these changes affect us all and represent a disturbing trend across various services and companies across the web. This is why I feel Drupal should join in taking this stand.

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users. This change also effectively kills all bots and tools used by Moderators and communities across reddit.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customising Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

So I recently had a major dissociative episode at work. It was so bad I don’t know how to describe it. I was shaking, throwing up, trying anything to feel something because my whole body felt far away. I was conscious and aware but nothing I said or did changed anything. I physically could not stand to be there and I had to leave early.
Even while I was in my car I couldn’t drive. I physically was not well enough to drive or even walk home, so I had to call my mother to get me.
It’s been 2-3 days, i have no memory of the first day after, so that’s why I’m guessing. I still haven’t recovered and I’ve been in a constant episode of delirium and dissociation, so much so that I’m starting to question whether or not this IS dissociation.
There was no triggering factor that set me off into this state- i was just working and suddenly found that nothing was how it should’ve been. It felt almost like plastic if that makes sense. I couldn’t form words or sit still.
I just really need advice or something. I’m so lost and don’t really know what to do- whether I should see a doctor or something.

These changes could signal future changes that degrade subreddits.
Another part of the change is on moderator tools that help keep communities safe and without spam, trolls, etc. This part will not greatly impact peanutbutter as we don't rely on bots or automod to patrol for spam or recurring trolls (do we even have enemies?). However, many other (much larger and/or more contentious) subs do use 'outside' tools to help with their moderation and management, and this change will inevitably affect everyone's use of the site.
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy, in a coordinated effort. Some will return after 48 hours (starting back up on June 14th), while others will go away indefinitely unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. Many truly believe these administrative changes will make it impossible to keep doing what we love here on Reddit.

I don't want to force anyone here to be a part of something they don't want to do, but Reddit is a community in general and we should have the opportunity to show our support for our fellow redditors around the world. After hearing all the buzz around the show, I gave in and watched the first episode, here my review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjV10jtNYzU If you are planning to continue watching the show it would be good to connect and discuss the episodes.
I know more people here are far more critical of the show but I was happy that they did highlight some of the mental health issues (and it's exploitation) within the industry something very relevant for today.
The overt sexualisation of artists is something that does actually happen, but like many - although I didn't expect it to be "family friendly" show - the scenes felt unnecessary and I'd rather they explore the characters a little bit more. I do have to say,all the actors that were part of Jocelyn's "team" on the show are probably far more interesting than the celebrity cast they have pushed the show with.

Tl;dr: /cscareerquestions will go dark on June 12 for at least a week in protest of Reddit's API changes that will kill third party apps, such as Apollo, RIF, and others. We will start with a week but may extend later on. We want to balance our protest with the needs of the community.

Following humans is really easy. I can be a bird, a bug, a man or woman… I can be anything I wish to be, when I wish to be it, and with their ignorance of the wider Universe beyond their own world, and a total lack of magic in their hands… What do I have to worry about? What hope have they of keeping me out of where I wish to go, of keeping me from following who I wish to follow?
Exactly. Mind you I’m not one to abuse this ability, I don’t stalk Jin or Suki or the rest of the neighborhood, I would never abuse these gifts.
I just do what has to be done. So, I followed on, it was evening, it was dark, and I was miffed about my needing to do this instead of watching ghoul boy struggle through learning to use his new powers in yet another hero fiction that is surprisingly better than one would think.
I did have the relief of knowing that these were professionals, and so when they realized their phones were broken and their car wouldn’t stop ‘properly’ they actually didn’t drive with reckless disregard for anyone else.
Based on how the car slowed down on the road, they must have simply taken their foot off the pedal, then let the car ‘coast’ to a stop in a nearly empty parking lot.
To make a long story into a short one, when they’d borrowed a phone and called for help, I had an even easier time, because ‘that’ car would definitely belong to their specific organization. Professionals are predictable, they follow rules, even if only internal ones, and since the Yakuza were sort of ‘legal criminals’ it wouldn’t be that hard to figure out which gang was trying to extort my little town. Just find the organization who the car is registered to.
And if I had to go up one more level after this, I would.
Inside the vehicle I was following as it drove into the city, I could hear their conversation, in all its glorious consternation.
“...The tires were popped and the brakes were cut, one is one thing, but four tires and a brake line? Someone did that.” The driver. I recognized his voice.
“Nobody could have gotten around us, so then how…?” The passenger. He still believed it was an accident. I don’t blame him. And also, I couldn’t be blamed for mentally smirking. My current bird beak wouldn’t do that, but it was fine. I smirked inside my head and that was good enough.
The building they parked under was dark, and frankly a little dank, the rain from before left some moisture behind, I supposed. But more importantly, just to be cautious I landed behind a pillar, returned to myself, and cast my spell. [Y’tilibisivni] And then I sauntered out from behind the pillar and watched them exit the car.
They were still arguing with each other, the two idiots, that is, as I followed behind them and watched them get into the elevator.
A wicked impulse came over me, looking down at the glowing elevator button. I could have just disabled it, but… Instead I just pushed the button.
The doors were just about to close, and I got them to open.
They ceased arguing, looked around, saw nothing, and the taller of the two pushed the ‘close door’ button.
I remained outside and pushed the ‘up’ button again.
Again the doors began to open.
“Really?” He asked the Universe.
“Really.” I thought, and as the door closed again, I pushed the button a third time.
A fourth.
A fifth.
Until his face grimaced and he punched the panel with a shout. “Damn it!” He snarled, “Come on, we’ll take the stairs!”
“It’s a hundred twenty floors up!” His companion squeaked.
“And we’d have done twenty of them in the time it took to make that decision. Come on! The damn thing is busted.” He said as I… pushed the button again, forcing the doors to part one more time.
I, of course, had no intention of taking the stairs. I waited until they stormed into the stairwell, then stepped through the elevator, hit the button for the top floor, and leaned against the wall with my arms crossed and humming contentedly with a real smirk on my invisible face that held all the way up there and to through the very moment when the two emerged from the stairwell huffing and puffing and hunched over, with sweat dripping from their faces and staining what were admittedly very nice dark suits.
I crinkled my nose at the smell, but went into step as they walked over the rich scarlet rug that lead to a polished black set of double doors.
I slipped in behind them and watched as they approached a middle aged man in frankly much better shape than the old guy from before. He was at least as well dressed and was sitting on his heels with his legs curled beneath him in front of a low table that was fairly common in this part of the world.
In front of him was a bottle of expensive wine that was already half empty, and a paper he was writing on by hand. ‘A little more traditional than I expected but… tastes are what they are.’
“Why are you two here? What happened, eh?” He tilted his head back and glared at the sweaty pair, his nose crinkled just as mine had when the smell of sweat hit his nostrils.
“And why are you sweating? We have an elevator!” He snapped and pinched his nose shut.
“Didn’t… work…” The larger of the pair said and they descended to their knees, then down to all fours.
They then explained what happened, the tires, the breaks… I kind of thought the boss would lose his temper a little when they explained, but to my surprise, he was very calm about it.
“We’ll have it towed tomorrow, good work avoiding an accident I guess but… how did all that happen in the first place?!” He groused, mixing praise with visible annoyance.
I sat down at the table and waited until they were done. “I’ll get some other people out there tomorrow. You two… just… get out.” He rubbed his forehead and the pair hastened away as fast as they’d entered… perhaps a little faster, now that they’d had a few minutes to rest.
I waited until we were alone, just he and I, and until he rose to his feet and had his back to the door, approaching his desk near the window.
Last time I chose another world’s warbeast. This time, I decided to go with something more… local.
I stood, shifted into the form of a towering werewolf, something bigger, larger even than their myths, and the first moment he knew I was there was when my long furry fingers and sharp claws were coming around from behind him… and he saw my reflection in the glass.
He opened his mouth to scream, my free hand came up and I pinched his tongue with clawed thumb and forefinger, denying him the ability to do so. “Gahawahh gawhaaha” Was all he managed to get out, he shook his head, but bound by his tongue, he couldn’t really even properly protest. My dark fur was so close he couldn’t not see it, even in the dim light of his office. My hot breath wafted over his face and made him try again to tear himself free.
I squeezed, I could feel his body ‘crack’ just a little. ‘Hey! I brushed my teeth, damnit! My breath doesn’t stink!’ I thought, and now I was really annoyed. Bad enough they were taking up my free time, but now they add insult to injury.
“Stay. Out. Of. Shinjai.” He growled. “Did my message not reach you? Shinjai belongs to the devil. Did I come to your house, disrupt your day, make things inconvenient for you?!” I shouted and shook him around like a ragdoll. I released his tongue so I would not tear it out, and held him up so that he was level with my bright yellow eyes.
“You-” He started to protest, I shook him around again until he shut up.
“Did I?!” I demanded in a wolfish, rough, gravely voice.
“N-No.” He grimaced as I squeezed tighter.
“You may come to Shinjai… as people. Spend money, patronize their businesses. But commit no crimes, and never come as Yakuza. In the house of the devil… you do not demand water.” I then straightened, putting the claw on my thumb just beneath his chin, grazing his vulnerable throat.
“If I must repeat this to your boss. I already know where he is, I will bring down these buildings on your heads. The devil does not deal.” I growled, and squeezed again, his legs began to kick and flail… I was bluffing of course. With what I already had, and with a little help from one of our satellites, I was pretty sure I could get everything I needed to in short order.
“Tell me you understand… human?” I growled.
His head bobbed up and down, “Yes. Yes! I understand!” He gasped and wheezed as my grip tightened.
“Good.” I dropped him to crumple in a heap, and he remained on all fours while he hacked and coughed and his body trembled in a mix of horror and disbelief.
“What… does the devil… want with Shinjai… anyway? It’s just a poor backwater…” He asked and began rubbing his throat where my claw had been not but a moment before. The little red dot on his hand where he rubbed would serve as a fine reminder, I should hope.
But even so, he was braver than I expected, to be at a werewolf’s feet and still question me? I chose to reward his courage.
“A vacation. I work hard. I want to relax. Shinjai is good for that. Do not disrupt my vacation again.” I don’t know what compelled me to say that, I mean, I meant to reward him, so it wasn’t an accident, but even so, I could have come up with a better excuse.
But I got that little chilly feeling in my spine that warned me I’d just done something that would have unexpected results.
“I… understand. I will… make sure… everyone knows… Shinjai, is the place where devils rest… no one… will disrupt it.” The way he said it felt ‘off’ to me.
But I wasn’t quite sure why.
I dismissed it, the matter was settled for now, and if it got worse, so would I.
“Good.” I gave a generic answer as if I were pleased, and then gave him a fairly gentle thump on the head, putting him to sleep.
After I was ‘myself’ again, I went to the paper on his desk and scrawled a little reminder note. ‘Remember, do not disturb the devil’s rest.’
With that, I teleported away, and flopped on my couch and began watching high school girls fleeing zombies as the world began to burn around them. I fell asleep to their screams before the first episode ended.

I'm writing on mobile, so sorry for formatting issues.
I need some advice and opinions with my reactive dog's situation. In short, I am no longer able to keep him, and his trainer supports rehoming to an experienced trainer or BE.
As background, we adopted my dog a year and a half ago from a shelter down south. He is a 35lb coonhound mix, now about 3 years old. He started off a little quirky but overall fine- he was leash reactive but controllable, and went to daycare multiple times a week. After a while, he is now reactive to nearly every dog, and was banned from daycare after he came in one morning and sprinted and attacked another dog unprovoked. He has always been a bit on edge, giving us warning snaps if we pet him while he's resting. After time, he is now completely aggressive with being given medicine, trimming nails, or going to the vet. A few weeks ago, he slipped out of my grip and ran over to a woman, who scooped up her dog. My dog jumped up and bit the other dog, again unprovoked. I can only be thankful I got him off before he did any more damage, and also that the woman was an adult, and not a kid who could have been more injured.
He has been on prozac since about 2 months after we got him. Other medicine, including CBD, has made him worse (we think he gets more fearful when he feels loopy), and he fights through sedatives. With our vet being fear-free, they will not even touch him at this point with him being how he is.
We have worked with 2 past trainers: one was positive reinforcement (a few months worth, $3k), but it was a day board-and-train program where their focus was on 6 total dogs, and really seemed to only teach him fun tricks.
The second was a balanced trainer who, though good, seemed a bit too heavy-handed (sharp leash corrections, prong collar, etc), and also did not see the fear aggression he showed, as my dog loved him and knew how to behave to get treats.
Our third and current trainer seems very talented, but the more we get into it, the more I'm worried about his training style. I believe it's aversive, with him using an e-collar at a super low zap setting. He uses the zap for corrections, and the vibrate to get the dogs attention. He's assured us it's just like a tap to get our dog to respond, and doesn't hurt.
At first I understood what he was saying about needing my dog to give us his dominance over us, but the pure fear my dog is getting from the process is just throwing up red flags. The trainer says my dog is one of the worst cases of fear-aggression he's every seen, and thus my dog will definitely get emotional as he trains (all he's done is put a leather leash on my dog's collar, and walked him back and forth to teach him to walk by his side. If he pulls or goes too far away, he gets the nick and a leash pull as a correction. My dog is scared shitless, and is even afraid to go outside to pee anymore because he thinks he'll get corrected if he's on the leash).
In any other situation, I would find another trainer. However, with my dog having a bite incident at our condo, he has been kicked out permanently and is living with family temporarily. But, the family members cannot keep him, and all of us together do not have the resources or ability to give him the training he needs. Therefore, the trainer has recommended rehoming him to an experienced trainer looking for a project dog, or BE.
I am struggling trying to figure out what to do. While we wait to hear if the trainer knows someone who would take him, we are supposed to continue the training. But I can't bear to keep putting our dog through the e-collar training. I keep seeing conflicting info online about whether it's good or bad. Is it actually working, and my dog is just a really severe case who will eventually learn? Or is it traumatizing him more and teaching him to suppress his fear rather than confront it?
If we re-home him to another trainer (that ours knows), will they use these aversive methods on him, and make him suffer, but allow him to live with the trainer's family forever?
Should I just give him the best few weeks of his life, and then put him to sleep surrounded by his family, even though I truly think he could be happy living with the right trainer?
I have all these thoughts swirling, and hoped someone removed from the situation may be able to give advice. Or maybe I just needed to write everything out and have someone listen.
Right now, my plan is to re-home him to a trainer. If my trainer doesn't find someone suitable, I will reach out to experienced aggressive dog owners to see if they would take him. (I do NOT want to re-home him to someone who can't train him- I do not want him to go through the stress of changing to a new family to just result in BE in the end anyway)

Season 2: If I'm not mistaken, characters died only during episode 2 - the collapsed house killed 2-3 people and some bus passengers were killed during their first night.
Season 1: had deaths all over the place, totalling to 33 in the first 8 episodes alone (source).
Story-wise this all makes sense. The veteran residents all have their talismans and know not to go out at night if they want to live. Note that in S1 we also see a sign saying there were months without accidents; that would've been very boring episodes to watch.
But all of this also means that we are on to a big season finale where many people will have to die to meet the fans' expectations. For this to happen I see three equally likely scenarios:

1. The talismans stop working
2. A new type of a monster or threat is introduced with the season change (possibly active during the day)
3. Rations do in fact run out, people are forced to starvation/cannibalism

Although you may not personally rely on these apps and services (we know that around 45% of our members use the first-party Reddit iOS and Android apps), they're critical to the way you and others experience Reddit:

• Large volumes of moderation activity (which is invisible to most users) is enabled through the use of these services, without them the level of effort required by volunteer moderators to keep subreddits running smoothly may be come unsustainable
• These changes threaten online safety and public-interest research activities from recognised academic bodies by making the cost to conduct this research prohibitive
• Reddit's first-party websites and apps have serious accessibility issues for users who rely on assistive technology like screen readers

When considering whether to participate in this action, the moderation team reflected on the nature of the Cities: Skylines community. Specifically, we were reminded of the creativity and ingenuity on display every single day which has been enabled by embracing open software principles and a spirit of collaboration.
Imagine for a moment:

• How limited the modding and asset-creation scene would be if Colossal Order made access to the editors a paid-for feature?
  
• What the game would be like if content creators had to pay Steam a fee for every 100 downloads of their mods or assets?
  
• If the game would have given rise to so many popular YouTube creators (some with millions of subscribers) if Paradox required a cut of their revenue?
  
• How much longer our games would've been broken after each update if the modding community preferred to "close-source" their mods, making it impossible for new modders to take over and patch abandoned mods?
  
• Whether the original game would've had such enduring popularity to warrant the creation of a sequel if the situations above had occurred?
  

Our game and community has been made so much richer as a result of the principles of fair and open access, so it feels right that we support activity to promote those same values for Reddit itself.
